@@onlyplants Yes, and our ancestors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Borneo, etc, started from southern Philippines and made their way up. I observed words that are used in Bisaya and Tagalog, but I don't know about Ilocano and other languages up north. I heard "ini", which is "this" in Ilonggo/Hiligaynon- my local dialect, "dahon" - leaf in both Bisaya, Hiligaynon, and Tagalog, "kusog" is "strong" in my dialect, and you used it when you said, 'I really appreciate', so same context. Hehe. And so many other similar words! :) Oh, oh! I think I heard "ini naman ya", which is "and this one [is]" in my dialect. If I heard it right, anyway. Haha

As a Filipino, i know Tagalog and Bahasa has similar linguistic origins. Like when you said “taon” for year, thats also our word for year. So hearing Bahasa kinda makes me think thats what Tagalog sounds like to foreigners lol
@nicoledavid92143 жыл бұрын
My gosh I was about to comment this exact thing!!! Hahahaha... it definitely makes me think that’s how ppl hear Tagalog. I also know kapampangan (a dialect in the Philippines) and when he said ‘ini’ for this, it’s the same word!

I'm so glad I finally found someone who has the Hoya Parasitica Black Margin (MA07). I just bought mine and couldn't find much information about how to care for it. It's supposed to grow orange flowers that are sweet in fragrance. 😍

Whoaaaa interesting. I actually propagated this so now I have a few babies. Cant wait to grow them out. Good thing you shared its name otherwise I wouldve forever called it MA07 haha

@@onlyplants Omg, I didn't think you would respond since it's an old video. Thank you so much for your response. 💖 Since you have two different black margin (MA07 and MA20), could you do a video (when you feel like it) presenting them and telling us how they've been behaving for you? I love your videos, the way you present and talk about plants. I also love when you get a bit "nerdy" in a good sense, when you go into details, and sharing information that not many youtubers do. 💖 🪴 🌱 🌿

I have a hoya pachyclada that is growing on a piece of wood like an orchid and so far it is doing well. My hoya linearis was initially potted but it did not do well. I had to cut it and propagate in water and now it is growing well on just a small amount of sphagnum moss which I water every day. I also mist it everyday.

Thanks for this! According to David Liddles catalogue, some Hoya species are native to Indonesia? It would be really awesome if you could focus a special episode on them and their growing habitat. In temperate climates the retusa and linearis grow like weeds,but we struggle with tropical species.
