Definitely not an elitist when it comes to plants but sometimes, one craves for something a little more unusual and different. I was interested in your comment about bromeliads. I had a large collection in Hawai'i and when I had to leave, I gave them to the University of Hawai'i arboretum where they planted most of them on trees like they were in nature. Some of the plants are amazingly beautiful and that "plastic" flower you mentioned really lasts for a long time so it is a popular plant for display. When they totally bloom, it's interesting what happens. Thanks again for all your efforts, Sean. I hope everyone knows how hard it is to film, edit and produce one of these GOOD videos. Kudos!
@onlyplants4 жыл бұрын
Whoaaaa thank you so much. Thats a good push for me to get into bromeliads haha. 🙈

Thanks for a further look at this nursery. It's always fascinating to see what they have and the prices. Yes, you could be a hand model but plants are much more fun. I was fascinated by all the plants that are so sought after here in my country and the price. It's gone crazy and as you mention, probably all over the world and we have not seen the end of the price rises. Due to "critters" on my property, all plants have to be grown inside except the native ones and even they get eaten sometimes by the native fauna. I would like to send you a photo of one of my plants but don't know how to do it. I don't want anything but thought you'd get a kick out of seeing it. Anyway, excellent video. It's always entertains and I chuckle as well as learn about what a lot of plants you have available there in Jakarta and also the prices. I guess any plant collector would have to have a good job,save money or just be satisfied with Spider plants. Keep safe. OH, excellent to have chosen a business run by a woman AND you were wearing a mask too. Bravo!
@onlyplants4 жыл бұрын
Haha sorry about the critters. Spider plants are actually a delight to have! So are most of the common plants. I dont believe you have to be fancy when it comes to plants and there are botanical wonders all around us. 🥰

Great video.. I hope we here in Indonesia will have more appreciation on plants beyond their economical values only..also for their beauties and medicinal properties. Got laughed at by a friend once for commenting on a wild red calladium at a sidewalk for it's bright red appearance...and now it's gone because it turned out to be an expensive type of calladium.
