I've been in India for 2 weeks and I was exploring all slum areas in Delhi, I think Indonesia is better than India I guess, and a lot of scams in India, that's the terrible moment I've ever had in India... Probably, Indonesia is much better than India and I'm ready to visit this country next year... Thank you Nick for sharing your video exploring Jakarta 🔥🔥 love from Serbia 🇷🇸
@DBT10072 жыл бұрын
About scam, i cant guarantee you... In jakarta and the satellite cities itself, there are still some robber and some criminals with weapons(machete, sickle) on motorcycle that will try to grab your bag and they can just grab the bag and dont care if you pulled to them along with the bag. We call those kind of criminals as "begal". But not that many though. But still there... Beware when traveling at night in Jakarta. Especially late night. But besides the criminality and stuff, yes, jakarta is better than India. I think the main issue of India is mostly like.. The discrimination aspect. And then the hygiene problem. And one thing that both countries have. TRASH EVERYWHERE. This is disgusting. The people dont have awareness about plastic waste and other kind of waste.
@antos.12202 жыл бұрын
Ofcourse.. Even in the slum areas, people will interact with you (in a good way) more than in India

The national monument despite being named as 'National' monument, it is actually owned, managed, and operared by the Jakarta Provincial Government. Thus, the applied covid rules follow the local government guidelines. While the malls and offices are following National/Central Government guidelines as the minimum requirement. The central.government does not control the facility managed by local government. Here in South Tangerang, the local government still have the public parks closed.

The Black T-Shirt Guy teased Mr. Bangladesh, saying that he disliked Jokowi only because he wasn't able to receive bansos or social support/benefit. The Blue Shirt Guy (the Parking Lot Guy) is from Madura, East Java. East Java is adjacent to Bali. 'Yunani' means Greece in Bahasa Indonesia - of course, the Black T-Shirt guy is just rambling. that's menteng area. I was born and grew up in that area. I used to live in HOS Cokroaminoto street (was used to be Jawa street). Lived there with my family from 60s till 89 but my parents lived in menteng since 40s. During Dutch occupation, it was the Dutch prime area for elite government high ranking officials. After our independence it became official housings for high ranking Indonesian military and government officers. My house was just a bit more than 5 minutes walk from the second president of Republic of Indonesia residence. Unti today, majority of the houses are either official residences for high ranking officials or ambassadors from foreign countries, some still belong to the old time rich people families. US ambassador's official residence is one of the biggest and luxurious in front of taman suropati. the estate is huge at the corner between imam bonjol and besuki streets, across US ambassador's residence is the official house of Jakarta governor . US embassy bought 50 of the houses in diponegoro street and the streets parallel to it, years ago. I've learned it from director of US agriculture of US embassy for Indonesia during function gathering at his resident in 2007. In the past, under Soeharto's regime no foreigners allowed to own properties in Indonesia.
