Jogja is full with amazing food for sure but make sure you also visit Solo and Semarang. The ayam goreng Mbah Karto in Solo is also legendary and is our President’s favourite. In Semarang you should try soto kudus Mbak Lin and Gudeg Abimanyu. I think you could find these both at the same spot at Taman Kuliner Ventura, If I remember it correctly

I brought my 'layah-uleg2' just to make original taste of sambal to the US. Those tools cannot be replace by a metal-made tools. Taste much differs and not original sambal anymore.

Hi Luke. You should also visit Banda Aceh province, at the top point of Sumatra island. We have the most well known Mie Aceh, the most legendary Mutton Curry ( kuah beulangong), Ayam Tangkap, Martabak Telur, Duck Curry. All the ingredients are amazing.
