My husband is from Minangkabau, when I got married I wore traditional Minang clothing which was quite heavy, the crown on my head weighed around 4 kg

Minang women like to flex their wealth and clothing, that's why minang clothing for women is extra shiny and gorgeous, and the male outfit is more modest. It's not a negative thing, it's part of their culture for thousand of years. Also Minang people is a matriarchy society, meaning the social dominance position is held by the woman. So their culture a woman is socially higher than a man

They were singing in Minang language thats why it doesnt translate.This is one of the langauge spoken in Sumatra-Indonesia wich I dont understand too..This is Fiki Naki language.I speak Javanese wich is spoken in Java-Indonesia and there are 100s more languages.If we are together we speak the bahasa Indonesia so everybody could understand
