Hi, I got a few mini roses as gifts this year. It’s my first time having them so I’m trying to learn as much as I can. On one of my plants I have a few yellowing leaves at the bottom. (The other leaves on the bush are very green and even a lot of new growth.) is the yellow normal or should I be worried? Too much water, not enough, etc?

Hello! I got a potted white rose for valentines, ive noticed it drying out like a week after getting it, ive given it plant food, not considering that the place we got it from most definitely feetilised it, I also think I might have watered it too much? I felt the soil was dry every 2 days so ive given it a glug of water every 2days.. could it be dry from overwatering? Im very new when it comes to plants. Would really appreciate some feedback
@irenedelgado78343 жыл бұрын
Hii as far as I know it’s best to hydrate the soul before planting. So when adding new soil make it wet that way it doesn’t dry out. (So dampen the new soil and the one already with the roses)

My poor little potted mini rose is losing its struggle to survive. I have had it 4 months. I have done all you say, but the leaves are turning yellow and dropping. It has become very spindly. I did very lightly feed it after I had had it 2 months. It got powdery mildew even tho I live in the desert climate, and I misted it with hydrogen peroxide in a dilute mixture. I keep the soil barely damp. The new baby leaves it puts out whither and dry and drop. What did I do wrong? Can I save it?

@skitsketch Жыл бұрын
Mini Rose plants need 6 to 8 hrs of sun to encourage flower buds and blooms. You just have to keep the soil moist. I water my pots in the morning and late afternoon. I feel sorry for the plants you've shown because they are obviously neglected (for the sake of demo? Hope not), they're dying. Pls take care of them, it's life in there.

So with your name it looks like you live in india so first find out which tyoe of rose is that is it a floribanda our hybrid tea or its a minature rose or is that a climbing rose if it is a minature or floribanda then it will survive pots size of 10 inches And once you find out this then you can find your soil is well drained or you have to prepare a well drained soil and then put them on sun of 4 hours or less and after 1 month apply organic fertilizer
