I’m typically cognizant of the hype factor on all new boats, but the m-l sizing (as tweener) and the more hard edge plaining hull has my attention here. Will be looking forward to more thoughts on the hull, where this fits in a quiver, and who/what’s this for. I have a Code and Axiom in the quiver and sold a puffy steeze after a couple runs mostly because I just didn’t see a place for it in my scenario.
@AlexBarham7 ай бұрын
The M/L is absolutely sick as someone who is always between sizes. (Hannah is so fired up to see a S/M as well) Unfortunately you didn't have a need for a Steeze this won't be wildly different. And that is probably why they are only making 2 sizes

The "Sport creaker" or "Quarter slice" perhaps🤔 look's great on first impression. I am sad I wont be able to plug and play the new thigh braces into my nova without some modification hopefully it isn't too hard to do. looking forward to more thoughts in the future!

We will see. I have to say they look completely compatible so I will ground truth it. Trust but verify

They are compatable. You’ll drill the holes from the old braces out to 1/4”. The holes did move, but the old holes work just fine.
@AlexBarham7 ай бұрын
@@MicajahMcCurry thanks for the beta. That makes perfect sense. The holes size wouldn't matter if you wanted to go back to the original which is a bonus.

@@AlexBarham yeah everyone wondered why I was drilling holes in my vanguard at green race online… now you know. Should be backwards comparable to the old braces as long as your washers make a good seal to keep water out.

@aarnimustonen6557 ай бұрын
So how does it compare with Code?
@AlexBarham7 ай бұрын
I think it is much closer to a Phantom. Doesn't load and then blast out of drops, but aims to skip over everything and hold speed like a race boat. If you like the Code this will feel familiar. It will come down to what you really need the boat for. There are places where a creeker stern is really important, and places where you can have a little more fun without

Does it front surf well? I use rewind m for multiday and challenging (for me: class iv) at ~150 lbs and nova/jed for everything else. I did Grand Canyon in rewind and probably set some kind of course record for combat rolls. Thinking about trading to the s/m Indra.
@AlexBarham6 ай бұрын
These do surf very nicely. The M/L I have is an absolute tank, so the Ninja has advantages on the wave

Which is better for you? Ninja or indra? I have a ninja & I really love it!!
@AlexBarham7 ай бұрын
If you have a Ninja and love it keep it. I've been playing with modifying Ninjas this spring. Keep an eye out for some interesting tweaks you can do to them. By far the best way to take the Ninja to another level though is lowering the seat
@AlexBarham7 ай бұрын
If you are looking at buying one over the other I would say that the average 180lb person is going to find the sizing for the Ninja is a weapon over being undersized in the M/L Indra. The Indra is a fantastic all-around, but I'm guessing the advantage will go to the Ninja in big water.

Nice. Looking forward to the full review. How did you feel about the weight? I was surprised to see the new “sport creeker” weights more than the Code or Phantom, or the Scorch, Reactr, Gnarvana, or any Waka. Excited to try it out.

@AlexBarham7 ай бұрын
@@UrsaMusic It was noticeable with the Steeze, but the hard chines vs. softer until engaged means that they still paddle similarly. The Ninja being by far the lightest and the loosest is the one that feels the most aggressive of the bunch.

Part of it also comes down to outfitting. Tossing a heavier boat around if you're fit like a glove can be easier than if you're flopping around inside a lighter boat.
