Awesome nakshatra guru, I did not understand how Vishakha can be both the joining of opposites and the reaching of the goal at the same time, but then I tried to understand lightning and I got it. If you look into how lightning is formed, you can see that the main theory is as follows: the negative and positive charges are separated (not sure about if by the "rain", but that would be cool) into 2 "distinct branches" and they join back together by means of lightning (which is nothing but the flow of the charged particles traveling towards each other). Likewise, the lightning that strikes the ground does now actually come from the sky, but is the pathway made by the opposite charges (one in the sky, the other on the earth) when they join. So, the thing that we as human beings perceive as the embodiment of stinking a goal (at least I did) is actually a joining of opposites, and not the throwing of the projectile. It continues to amaze me how Vedic symbolism and stories are consistent with things we know through the scientific method.

I had understood it to a certain point as the only way to achieve my fulfillment was to find partnerships and assist that person with their fulfillment... and thank you for refining my understanding of this placement. Another amazing video. Vic, you presented essence of Visakha so well , contrasted with other Agni based nakshatras. I definitely got finer nuances of vishaka from this video. Vishakah is all about the “joining of the fork” that resonates with me… I am vishakah Nakshatra rising with Rahu in vishakah … I was born with my cervical and thoracic vertebrae infused. Jupiter is in the ascendant with Venus in swati Nakshatra and mars in punavasu Nakshatra … it makes sense

I would say that the archway symbol of Vishakha is not about a goal. It seems to me that it's about two things simultaneously. 1 the joining of one side with another. Also something or often us, goes thru the archway and are transformed. It is the POINT or PLACE of transformation transformation. I have my Sun, Moon, Venus, and Jupiter in Vishakha. Mars in Kritika. I've never really felt so much the goal oriented perspective you speak of of Vishakha but more the Anurada perspective. Or at least both in equal proportions.

@@natasia64yes perhaps but I recognize there is a possibility that there maybe some uniqueness to our chart planetary positions that may make us non-typical Vishakha natives. For myself having Jupiter there I think makes things better. Plus I have a mutual exchange between Mars and Venus in each other's homes. So I feel what they feel.

@@inspektorsx683 I'm NOT saying I am personally not goal oriented. What I am saying is that the archway symbol associated with Vishakha is more of a symbol of a place or portal of transformation. Often astrologers refer to the archway symbol associated with Vishakha as like wedding archway in a Hindu marriage. After going through such an arch you are not the same, you are transformed.

@@kevanwillington2899 I sometimes see this symbolism as the CHECKPOINT race in Need for Speed video games. One has to go through each and every check point, an archway, to complete the race and get to the finish line. IF one misees a checkpoint, the race tends to end as a failure. This multiple archway feeling derives from the word YUGANI in the nakshatra sutra; (Indragniyor Vishakhe, Yugani parastad, krshmana avastat). YUGANI is plural form of Yuga, which is like similar to Yoga or Union or the act of coupling, striving for a goal(krshmana). So, i think there's a lot of YUGANI/coupling for krshmana. And, "each checkpoint/archway crossed gives points and speed to the driver". Hope you are doing well, with your vishakha propensities.

35.00 the advice on vishaka there was important for me because I am having some problems and I think that resonated with me. I learn so much about life and relationships from astrology it’s amazing. I actually have a moon in vishaka but my mars mutually aspects it as well, this is in my d9. So I’m hoping rohini mars can save it in some way perhaps. Just to make it more interesting or difficult for me to understand, I have a pushya Ketu in 1st house so I don’t know if overall I will have a positive or negative influence in my relationships. This will be something interesting to study Yep the intensity and addictive behaviour is something I have experienced that Vic talks about, but it’s more related to 5th house For me.

D9 is not astronomical in nature, no varga is. And , hence it doesnot have any naksahtras. only D1 has nakshatras. all the other vargas have sign placements only. visit, www.vicdicara/tropical or visit his youtube channel for videos on tropical vs sidereal.

On Pluto in Vishakha: although you don’t work directly with outer planets, interesting to note the work evolutionary astrologers are doing with Pluto. I see correspondences between their theses and Vishakha here, although they refer to it as “Pluto in Scorpio generation” and “Pluto in Libra” generation.

Asc, sun and mercury in vishaka is such a torture sometimes. Like this obsession thing is true even in small things. Sometimes i even wake up in the middle of my sleep cuz I'm obsessing about something. When I'm curious about something, I'm so sleep deprived. But thank you cuz this gives me more awareness. @@VicDiCaraAstrology I am certainly very interested about having the most minimalistic life and and is very interested in spiritual things but then I am weak against beautiful stuff - not material but actual people. Recently I've been obsessed about this artist whom I found to be the most beautiful dancer (beautiful dance lines, expressions, nuances) and it feels like it's affecting my life. It's like I want to be detached from worldy interests like these so I could just be present with whatever is in front of me but my fingers don't lie. I would always keep looking him up on KZbin and google. Before I used to have other interests like philosophical stuff and i don't feel so terrible about them but now i feel like obsessing about artists who have no relevance to my life is a real downgrade. But then if I look back my life has been a series of either obsessing about things or being super detached and just wanting to get away from everything.

Moon/Mars conjunction in Vishaka here. Re: cooking. I'm single, so i just get a dinner box every week. Sometimes, you get weird recipes, like "peach corn salsa". I didn't bother making that one. I was happy with just a peach and and ear of corn. That way i got 2 for sure snacks versus some iffy condiment i prolly wasn't going to eat.

My Venus is in vishaka in 4th house and I'm not selfish but I always come across selfish ppl. I've been obstinate for two years so I don't know what he talking about I'm not sexing due to selfishness. The only selfish is I refuse to be with selfish ppl. I gave more than I receive. So he is wrong!!! He needs to actually talk to ppl who have this in their chart because it's wrong. I don't drink or do drugs nor am I addictive. I search for god n self knowledge because ppl always disappoint me. Only addiction is to know who iam and my purpose n information.

there are a lot of other factors that go in predictions. Vic just pointed out the propensities surrounding a nakshatra. You just missed the good stuff and listened to all the bad stuff. Maybe it's your mars then or any other aspect. Vishakha is goal oriented, and it looks clear to me that you have realistic goals about your happiness. No one is saying that all vishakha placements are same. Some of them could turn out to be very goal oriented to the point that they just commit for the final act. Hope you re visit this video or some other good ones for vishakha insights regarding your venus.

Lol 😆 in my Vimsamsa, D20 chart I have a Vishakha Moon 10th house 🌙 in a Magha Sun 8th house with Shravana rising (empty, no Planets) and my Saturn in Krittika 4th house; I imagine, my future self, will be an ascetic Teacher. But I have work to do: Chitra 9th house in Rahu and Ketu 🤔
