What a video sir? A gem indeed for all and very special for me as I used to take this train and also DQ and DE from Poona to Bombay during this period when I was in Poona for 3 months to do audits. I used to see and wonder at this British Electric Company made DC loco with a prominent nameplate in the bogie of Vulcan Foundry Works, England. The loco pilots used to allow me to come inside and it was an experience to climb just once and you have shown all controls and operation in a video as well. WCAM 1 is on display at Chennai Rail Museum and they allowed till recently to see the cab and controls. A special thanks to you,the father of RFans in India.

I was a student in Pune's Bharathi Vidyapeeth from 1988-92. I used to travel often on this train mostly on Monday mornings to get back to college in time. Used to get down at Shivajinagar and catch a rick to the college. What a prestigious train Indrayani exptess was at one time. Very fast and always on time. Even the return from Pune to Mumbai was fun. Would leave in the evening by 6.30 pm if i remember correctly and reach Dadar by 9.30 pm sharp in three hours flat skipping Karjat, Kalyan. Sometimes, it would halt for a couple of seconds at Vithalwadi station before Kalyan and i would jump off in time so that i could catch the local train and go to my home in Mulund. Great memories. Thanks so much for sharing.

Well well sir first up of all big thank you for coming up with this gem which you recorded way way back. Creating videos in 1995 !! Well you were indeed ahead of your time sir. Now as a mumbaikar living in mumbai since 30 years i can say this is the glorious past of mumbai, before this city was hijacked by people from other city/states who came in numbers and ruined this beautiful city. Im sure many people here will lambast me for my statement but thats surely not going to change my words. Look at that lush greenery before train enter parsik tunnel..all that mountainous slopes are not occupied by illegal slums. Thats a real agony for mumbaikar like me who has seen his beloved city turning into slum hub over the period of last 20-30 years. Hats off.

Those locomotive were my favorites I was 3 years when this video was taken Thanks a lot for posting this video. It is already a great video, Would have been more great if your coach was near to locomotive and we could hear the whistle of WCM-5

Very glad you enjoyed it. I have more videos behind the WCM5 locos. Will upload them :-)
