Thenkachi Ko. Swaminathan (1942-2009) was a popular orator, an author of various Tamil books, Deputy Director of All India Radio, Chennai. He hosted the daily programme known as ‘Indru Oru Thagaval’ on All India Radio. He is a down-to-earth genius who could give a depth speech in a simple and interesting story form.
Millions of people across Tamil Nadu were mesmerised by his voice every morning for several years.
Thenkachi Ko Swaminathan is even now remembered for his popular daily programme ‘Indru Oru Thagaval’ by millions of people across the world. Chennai Kalaivaani Puthakalayam renowned Tamil books publisher published his first book ‘Indru Oru Thagaval’ in 1990 and continued to published 23 volumes, which is a record in the publishing industry.

என்ன ஒரு அறிவு! கடவுள் தன்னுடைய சாயலில் மனிதனைப் படைத்திருக்க, மனித சாயலை கடவுள் எடுக்கிறார் என தலை கீழாக சொல்கிறாரே! இது எவ்வளவு serious ஆன விடயம் என்பது புரியவில்லையா? ஒருபுறம் கடவுளைப் பற்றிய பொய்யான விடயங்களைப் பரப்புவது. இது கடவுளுக்கு கோபத்தை உண்டாக்கும். இதைக் கேட்டு பொய்யான விடயங்களை நம்பும் எத்தனை உயிர்கள் திசை மாறிப்போய் வாழ்க்கையைத் தொலைப்பார்கள். தயவு செய்து உண்மையான விடயங்களை மட்டும் பேசுங்கள். இதைக் கேட்பவர்கள் உங்கள் சகோதர்ரகள் இல்லையா? அவர்கள் வாழ்வு நன்றாக அமைந்தால் சந்தோஷம்தானே! “பின்பு கடவுள், “மனிதனை நம்முடைய சாயலில் நம்மைப் போலவே உண்டாக்கலாம். கடலில் வாழும் மீன்களும், வானத்தில் பறக்கும் பறவைகளும், வீட்டு விலங்குகளும், ஊரும் பிராணிகளும், முழு பூமியும் அவனுடைய அதிகாரத்தின்கீழ் இருக்கட்டும்” என்று சொன்னார். 27 மனிதனைக் கடவுள் தன்னுடைய சாயலில் படைத்தார். தன்னுடைய சாயலிலேயே அவனைப் படைத்தார். ஆணையும் பெண்ணையும் அவர் படைத்தார்.”(ஆதியாகமம் 1:26,27)
