As the cost of electricity rises, this could be used by sub-contract engineering machine shops as a competitive advantage in accurate quotes over their competitors or as a process waste elimination to sharpen up inefficient cuts / operations. It doesn't mean all inefficiencies can be improved but knowledge of what's happening is the first step to process improvement. I'd be interested to see if lowest part cycle time always equalled lowest energy usage -QI
