My mom was a thoroughbred racehorse trainer and there was always a huge fan, like this, blowing cool air through a hot barn. After a busy morning of grooming horses, she’d sit me in a chair right next to this fan, with my lunch. I always would be found sleeping like a baby, when mom came to check on me. Thank you for giving me those warm and content feelings again.

Hay Randall, actually I've been thinking about a job like that since grade school days.Used to pass by the janitors office on the way to gym near the huge blast furnace that heated the school.He was always sitting there drinking coffee,legs up,reading a newspaper,sitting by that relaxing noise of that furnace and I imagined what a perfect life.My stresses at school were tremendous and that little janitors office seemed like paradise.Still go back there in my mind countless times to get away from it all.Your monster fan took me back today.I'd gladly pay a nickel for that monster fan today,said Wimpie.

I also wish I had a job where I could hear these fan sounds all the time, I remember when I was working as a security man, there was one factory that had huge machines inside and they were running all night... After finishing my round I spend extra time in that building, got myself a coffee or cocoa and listened to the white noise of the machines I miss those times, right now I need these videos to be able to fall asleep and distract myself from depression and anxiety

Randall's Rest & Relaxation I don’t sleep well in these ‘autumn years” of mine - I’m on your channel every night exploring all the other (Randalls fan) videos as well. Seems this big-guy has the proper harmonic for my best relaxation that I find myself always going back to. It is the one that helps me get back into zombie-land. (Zzzzzz....’s, that is, is almost a guarantee) ... Something I wanted to point out, you’re obviously noticed, but I’m always finding it amazing the NUMBER of listeners/viewers you have/had on these videos/sounds. (For what it’s worth, those numbers might be doubled - as the 10 hour long ones _if_ it only counts as a ‘view’ when viewed all the way through there may be many like me who in the AM close the lid on on my iPad before the full 10 hours.) Look at those numbers! You are a very unselfish individual who/where, many I’d guess” do not take the time say Thanks! You certainly speak for me! I got hooked many months ago with the pipe videos, and now I look to Randall for my sleep sounds before anybody else. Love the unique, quality sounds and combinations thereof. I grew up in a house built in the 1950s, so despite being young myself, I have nostalgia for a lot of vintage things, including the gas furnace that was in the bathroom. Legitimately, no one else has quality footage of one of those with both the sound and the flames, except for Randall. And that's just one example! Don't even get me started on the Insomnia Crusher video, oh my word those deep layered tones are like a tranquilizer on me...

One of the best jobs I had in my twenties was working in a warehouse with a couple of large industrial fans blasting all day. They were so loud you had to raise your voice to be heard but I loved feeling bathed in that comfortable sound.

I too am reminded of putting the fan in the window in the late 60's to early 70's and falling asleep to the fan noise as the moist outside air made my bedsheets a little sticky with moisture. I wish I could relax to this sould now now like I could then. My wife doesn't like the loud fan noise, but I have a small fan on my nightstand and blow the air into my face as I fall asleep!

Sometimes I lay awake wondering how some people can sleep in silence, then I turn on one of your videos and fall right to sleep.

The problem with sleeping in "silence" is that silence doesn't exist, there's always a dog barking, a car passing far away, people talking, computer fan producing high frequency noise that comes and goes depending on system temp, harddrive reading and stopping depending on if people are downloading the torrents you're seeding. The only way to sleep is to have a constant noise source like a fan that makes a louder, but constant sound.

wondered if people can share why they enjoy with sleeping with the sound of a fan. I listen to these fan videos on top of having a fan on every night as I go to bed or simply lay down. I am 58 years old and I always knew the sound of a low humming engine / motor had a soothing effect on me. Tumbling dryer, vacuum cleaner, fan, heater etc. The motel room old fashioned ones are amazing. Wonder what the reason is. Would love to hear from people are like me vs internet articles.
