Industrial sewing machine bobbin winder problems and solutions

Oh my gosh, I wanted to take my bobbin-winder and throw it against the wall as useless, but you not only answered my question about UNEVEN bobbin-winding, where before I had to hold my finger on and off against the thread at every layer while it was winding as there was never enough on the right side (DUH), you also showed putting the thread through the holes in the bobbin to start the winding which was the BEST, as I always manually started winding some thread on the bobbin! Goodness gracious, those screws are there for a reason after all!!! Thanks for this video, succinct and to the point!

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain how it works....I was able to figure out my problem. I think it had gotten pushed away from the belt- and wouldn't go around anymore. Maybe too much lint in there? I cleaned it, oiled it, did a little shoving and it is working again! The main thing I noticed is when I pushed it backwards (the bobbin winding unit), it wound again. Obviously it had lost contact with the belt somehow.

I can't seem to find an answer for my problem. I hope you can help... Two bobbins split in half as I was using my bobbin winder. It is new. What do I do to fix this ! The bobbins were not filled completely at all maybe half way and.. split apart !

I haven't found a remedy for my issue yet. I might just use a dremel and grind a little off the piece. The part that dictates when the bobbin winder flips off rubs on my bobbin on the inner side. Is there a way to adjust that shaft that in and out so that I can move it in further towards the machine to center the 'finger' on the bobbin or should i just grind a little off the inner side of it so that it clears. The bobbin is pushed on as far as it can go.

I have an artisan industrial machine and the string seems to come out of the tension disc while its winding no matter how tight or loose the tension is, is there something else I need to look at to fix this issue besides the tension tightness itself?

Did the old B755's have a rubber ring on that disk that is engaging with the motor belt?

I have never seen a rubber ring on an external bobbin winder.

Turn the little screw on the metal tab that sticks out to center of bobbin. One direction the little tab will rise up closer to center of bobbin, the other way further away. It should kick the winder off. I'm sure by now you figured this out. :)
