There’s so many parallels between personal relationships and the relationship we have with our drug’s of choice. It’s legit like a romantic relationship without the sex (obviously) and back and forth between the two people. I’ve been clean for 6 years, almost 7, and I still tell people I love opiates more than just about anything in this world, I just know I can’t partake or my life is over.

This is a example how eminem helped so many. I went thru such a relatable stoey with drugs i wish i didnt but damn did eminems music help me kick them 12 years and i finally did. Scary shit but cliff ur such a real dude im glad u got thru ur addiction too. Alot people judge make fun and leave u instead of helping. This song hit home man i choked up he is such a genius i hate wen people say he isnt good it gets me so mad. Drug addiction is more than street shit. I had doctors giving me legal shit that is harder than street shit. And i thought since a doctor is giving it legally then im fine. If u truly care and love someone who is using. Go help them or tell them how u feel. It means alot just to know someone actually cares if u use or not. People call names and leave u dry not knowing what scripts or street drugs do. Everyone wants to stop. If u think users keep wanting it no they dont wanna be sick help someone u love. If u do nothing u dont love one bit

yea this about to be lit lol. I had my own issues with pill addiction for almost 6 years and this song hits so crazy because the way he explains the entire love/addiction with the drug is literally perfect. If you haven't been through it yourself or close to someone who has, not every bar will hit the way it does me. Especially the part when he says 'I thought you loved me bitch you tried to kill me". So true. Genius period.

It's actually a triple entendre because he's talking about a relationship that he had with somebody or he could also be talking about a drug addiction or he could be talking about his relationship with hip-hop. The man is a genius
@eazy2hate2 жыл бұрын
Not or he could be talking about drug addiction!! IT IS ABOUT DRUG ADDICTION!! Then it's about hip hop (the double meaning of the song) but drugs is #1 then #2 hip hop and people can take it as a triple if they felt like that towards a woman but Eminem himself said it was about drugs then in another perspective was his relationship with hip-hop he didn't say anything about a woman but I get what ur saying

Def one of my favs from the album the beat switch,double meaning throughout the entire track Em's flows and delivery is just flawless he is truly unmatched here's the meaning of the song ~ This track can be interpreted as a heart-break song, directed towards his divorced wife Kim or even a newer partner. The lyrics have an interesting structure. It starts off as an innocuous love song, but the drug metaphor gets stronger as the song goes on, until the sound effects after the outro confirm that the subject of the song was pills indeed EMINEM The GOAT Of Hip Hop Forever!👊🏽🐐🔥✨🎯💯

The lines talking about flipping the house around looking, I did the same thing when I had a pill addiction for nearly 8 years. I'd be on the floor in my house looking under the couch, the tables, pulling dirty clothes out the hamper checking the pants pockets. Calling plugs at 3am desperately trying to find anything. Some of the lowest times of my life. I love this song and a lot of people don't understand.

Great reaction to a great song (I got chills at you getting chills)! That beat switch in the hook that leads into the flow switch in the 3rd verse is soooo good. 🤯 How many artists have multiple songs on the same album that carry so many different layers/meanings (like this and “Darkness”) throughout the whole length of the songs? 🤯 And how many artists can use the sound of spitting as a rhyme? 🤯🤣 (He also did it on the “Killer” Remix.) Keep up the strong work and good content! Also, thank you so much for sharing your past and current struggles, and for offering a listening ear/helping hand. You’re helping more people than you realize! 💪
