Eminem, is the reason I'm still living... I lost my mom and in that course, fell in to a depression and ended up with a pile of debt due to no insurance. I kept listening to his songs on repeat and his words helped motivate me to keep moving, and keep fighting the fight.

I feel like he should be looked on in the future as a modern day Shakespeare. I mean most have us has grow up through it, but I think his music will be looked upon so much differently when he's gone then in todays standards. His ability to flow between his lyricism, rhymes, and the message behind the songs can only grow as the years go on. and only be further appreciated. The G.O.A.T.

"So this is for every kid who all's they ever did Was dreamt of one day just getting accepted I represent him or her, anyone similar You are the reason that I made this song And everything you're scared to say Don't be afraid to say no more From this day forward, just let them a-holes talk Take it with a grain of salt-and eat their fucking faces off! The legend of the angry blonde Lives on through you when I’m gone." Even today, as a grown man still fighting, this still brings me to tears. Marshall through his music has played a big part in keeping my willingness to fight up. I'll never get to thank him for it but I'm forever grateful.

@melissakennedy15062 жыл бұрын
This is such a great song. I loved watching you appreciate it like I do. It’s funny that people always say how trash Em is and his low lyrical content, but honestly, he has inspired me so much. I was abandoned by my crazy mother as an infant and my dad was emotionally unavailable and died when I was 17. I had my daughter at 19. Them Em hit with Hi My Name is. The just don’t give an F was so ballsy and made me feel strong. Cleaning out my closet and even headlights later showed me that you can grow from trauma. I’m just a blonde, not so angry 48 yr old woman, but for decades I have always kept nail art on my middle fingers to remind me not to be afraid to stick up for myself and not worry so much. Screw them. Im an over the road trucker, and I would never have been brave enough to stick it out, pick myself up when I got discouraged in trucking school and first jobs because I’m not that strong or rough and tough, if it hadn’t been for Slim Shady not giving a fuck. Also, this is the first year Eminem has been eligible for consideration for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because of the rules about how long you gave to have been in the industry

@lemarcusjackson79882 жыл бұрын
Honestly the majority of hate i see him getting is from people my age, 28-34 who grew up listening to him. He went from the anti establishment, pro freedom ball of energy, and these days if you support trump, he doesnt want you as a fan. The very people he fought against when he had nothing, is the same team he joined while he has everything. I will always love him as an artist, hes one of the best and that cant be debated. I just dont respect him as a person anymore. Still listen to him almost every day, and will until the day im 6 ft under.

@@lemarcusjackson7988 it's not that he didn't want u as a fan he just wasn't on ur side if u was on the side of trump. @@lemarcusjackson7988 "He went from the anti establishment, pro freedom ball of energy, ...." He's still pro freedom. Yu can say what you want in his mind, but he is free to call you on your shit if he disagrees. So if you believe in Mr Trump as the best way to rule your country, he believes he has the right to disagree and make it public. He made it public when it was Bush he ranted against, so why is it different when it's someone else on the White House Lawn? If you think he hasn't been liberal before 2016 and hasn't believed that there's racism sitting behind many laws and rules, you haven't been listening.

No one should see, but it was war in the Delta in Vietnam. Some of the things you say about coping skills, developing a positive vision and living the vision are things he said word for word. I know part of that “one outfit having a quick reaction” part was because Em used to only wear a yellow jumpsuit/jacket and he got made fun of for it all the time, and when Dre brought him to the studio to meet everyone they made fun of him and he had some quick responses to them. I think DOC talks about it in an interview about meeting Em for the first time.

I understand people dont like eminem and thats fine. but you cannot deny his talent and worldwide impact with how he able to be ruthless but also help people. "Somewhere, some kid is bumping this while he lip-syncs in the mirror That's who I'm doin' it for, the rest I don't really even care" also to edit this: eminems music will live on for decades. people will actually appreciate his music once he is gone, its the sad truth. there will be all the haters that come out and say oh yea he was great after the fact. im a stan and have been for a very long time. you can disagree thats fine, eminem will go down as one of the best mcs to ever do it. and you cannot deny that.
