I think showing us the gang young like young Arthur, Dutch, etc would be better, Or a year or two before the blackwater massacre leading up to it so we can see some dead members of the gang like Mac Callander.

Nah man, I really wish that RDR3 will be another prequel. Maybe we can see how the gang met Micah, the first score that Hosea and Arhur planned but Dutch was influenced by Micah's ferry score idea and how it got screwed up. Spend time with characters that we did not enjoy much time with in RDR2 like Sean and see what happened to the rest of them, the ones that died or got captured. And the big plus would be having the opportunity to free roam as Arthur Morgan.

@@chrisb5243 I never read that, it's just what I deduced based on Arthurs personality and how he views his father. He is incredibly protective of people he considers family and is willing to do bad deeds to care for them. He never enjoyed robbing and murder but his loyalty to the gang justifies it for him. It seems to me that he felt alone and vulnerable as a kid, scared of his fathers wrath. Then his view towards women is interesting too. First his self confidence is very low and somehow doesn't see that most women are into him. Then he hates the very idea of taking advantage of women. Could be explained by his father acting like an absolute shit to women around Arthur, possibly even his mother. Then again there could be other answers too.
