Weekend_trvler Problem was it was the weekend after the 4th of July so alot of people who would go to a race were elsewhere with family/friends. Also the super humid high temperatures didn't help much either.

I was hanging out in victory lane at the end of the race and overheard Robin Miller talking to another fan saying that for sure next year the race would be on a Saturday night again. It's conjecture but Robin Miller seems to know what's going on most of the time.

Congrats to Hinch for the "CORNiest" win of the season... See what I did there? Seriously though, that was a phenomenal final stint. I hope it makes up for Indy a little bit.

I was at the track, and once the yellow came out we knew the race was over. People started packing up and leaving, which is why the stands were empty by the time Hinch came around for checkers. How in the world did pitlane not know that would happen?

Please make this race a Saturday night race next year. The crowd will be bigger, the cars will have more downforce and put on a better show, and you won't have to worry about high temperatures. As much as I love Knoxville Raceway, I honestly don't think it would be a huge deal to run one Saturday night of conflicting events with Indycar.

I was standing in ear shot of Robin Miller in victory lane at the end of the race and he was talking about the race next year and how it being on Saturday night was a done deal. Who actually knows but we can hope.

never knew that those car could still actually take off from pit lane while still on fire like that one car was that saw how the wind just blew the rest of the fire out and really never did any real damage to the car

Why are they using the Push 2 Pass/Road Course rear wings rather than the typical Speedway rear wings from the Indianapolis and Texas races? Or are they new Speedway rear wings?

It's the short oval kit. They don't use Push to Pass.

They almost always use the same configuration for road and street courses on short ovals but possibly with slight aerodynamic changes. This was a great race and so glad I chose the mayor in my fantasy lineup

So let me get this straight now: A caution comes out with 6 laps to go for a piece of debris. In stead of stopping the race or getting the debris quickly, you run out the race under caution!?... How do you out-stupid NASCAR, & they were at DAYTONA that weekend (AKA The Ricky Stenhouse wreckfest show for Cup & the Haley screwjob for Xfinity)!

Well i am not the biggest Fan of Pack racing so i Like races Like this where they can actually gain an Advantage on other drivers by good driving guiet a Lot. But tbh the end of the Race was simply disappointing because of Newgarden and Wickens losing positions with their Pit stops ..... There should be some way to restart a Race when a yellow comes Up with 7 laps to Go....

Why did they even open up the pits if they were never going to even go back to green? If it would have taken too long, they should have thrown a red flag like they did a few years ago at Indy.
