Thank you ladies for the inspiration to skate more. The beginning of the year I didn't know where to start when it came down to buying skates. I've always rented ones at the rink. I never knew how comfortable skates could be. So I sat off to the net and researched for a few weeks. Bought a pair kind of off impulse. Put them on and I knew right away that I didn't like them. They sat around and meant to return them but never got around to it. Gave them to my boyfriend and he modded them. Back at step one I set out on another mission and stumble across Moxi and instantly fell in love. Knew right then I needed them. Got my pair of lolly Taffy's in March 2nd and that is one of the best decisions I've made. After I purchased them I was looking around here on KZbin and seen all you Ladies. I didn't know how big moxi was till then. Over the course of this year I've learned how to skate better through you and other ladies of moxi. Starting following hi people on Instagram that share same love for these amazing skates and also have gained friends along the way. I'm trying to make it to Camp next year so I can meet you all in person. Thank you for all yalls videos :) sorry for my long comment I get passionate about them lol

So I mentioned on other videos that I'm new to skating. I make it to the rink whenever I can but because of my work schedule, I can't go there every week. So I'm trying to skate outside more. I have a lot of trouble with rocks, cracks, and just some very rough parking lots/sidewalks in general. (90% of the sidewalks in town are brick. Very uneven bumpy brick). Right now for outside skating I use 65mm 83a hardness wheels in some generic brand that came with my skates. I'm wondering if 78a hardness wheels (like the rollerbones venice) will really make that big of a difference or if I'll barely notice. I guess I'm just not sure how much softer 78a is compared to 83a.

Hi and Wow: This was great! In skiing growing up, I used something like the duck walk for stepping uphill, only with skis. Another technique (perhaps for steeper hills) is sidestepping perpendicular to the slanted direction of the hill, and I think I saw you using this in an earlier video with stairs. Thanks and Happy Monday, John

hey indy! when I skate i notice the outside of my left ankle gets really sore. are there any exercises i can do to strengthen my ankle? or maybe should i just take precaution and wrap it in an ace bandage for support? thanks girl! 💖
@merlin80157 жыл бұрын
Julia Lathouris I have pretty weak ankles, too, and if you have high-top skates, lace them as tight as you (comfortably) can all the way up to offer adequate support. Alternatively, for exercise, I've been doing lateral squats every other day as well as before I skate, and that seems to help! Warming up the surrounding muscles before using them is key to prevent injury. I know I'm not Indy, but I hope this helped.

Sara Mills ahhh I’m doing my best to get some wheels up on planetrollerskate.shop tomorrow. Do you know what you’re looking for yet?
@country_footsteps7 жыл бұрын
INDY JAMMA JONES not sure maybe some wheels that are 78A durometer 66 mm high and 37 mm wide. More or less. But I am very open minded. Since its been years I'll classify myself as a beginner lol. Your the professional, I'll take your advice for what wheel would suit me. Outdoor wheels for streets. Something that can handle rougher asphalt/ handle debris better.
