I am curious about the quality of the OEX course. The track looked pretty tame with the exception of one or two big holes on the course where it looked like engaging the diff locks might have been necessary. To me ot looked like more of a route finding problem. Did any of the vehicles without rock sliders get damaged? Any recovery training? Is the class worth the money?

Here is my perspective. I can only hold the phone and drive for so long and the more technical stuff I just put the phone down. So the most challenging parts are not on video. In future events I could participate less and do more video but at the end of the day, I am just out learning what the Grenadier can do. The obstacle course is pretty intense but all the Grenadiers there are capable of performing even with only center locker and the street tires. That frankly surprised me. One of the Grennys with stock step was damaged on the step. It got bent pretty good. I don't run rock sliders but have a lift and I was fine. The next weekend we did a trail ride and I actually dented my rear skid plate in a couple spots. We did some winch training for recovery but they have a separate class just for that you can get. They have a Fundamentals 1 class and then more advanced classes. The classes they are doing for the Grenadier are more suited for our vehicles than Jeeps with 40s. Depending on your skill level would determine if its a good value for you. To me and many newbies, it was worth the $300 which included lunch. Plus a lot of fun to meet other local Grenadier owners. By local I mean with in a four hour drive every way you imagine.
