I want to see Dorgu LWB, Amad RWB; Ugarte and Bruno in front of the back 3 (with Amorim getting a grip of Bruno in terms of staying disciplined and defending as well as trying to get forward); Mainoo at LAM and Garnacho, RAM; Zirkzee at striker. You would have left and right footed players on both sides giving options to go outside or get inside and shoot. Playing 5 attacking players (plus Bruno getting to the edge of the box) should see United getting more balls/players into the box to create more chances/shots at goal. THIS would work better than having 5 defenders and a CDM (sometimes two if Collyer plays). How can we expect to score playing a 'Keeper and 6/7 defensive players and 4/3 attackers? Worth trying at home to Leicester. If this configuration works, it might have a big impact on the summer transfer window.

The negativity surrounding the lack of new signings in January is certainly frustrating. However, it's important to recognise the positive steps the club has taken. For the first time since the Ferguson era, we haven't wasted millions on average players. We've removed several individuals who were either not good enough or had a negative impact on squad morale. What no one ever seems to mention with Rashford is that since his 30 goal season (ie last season and this), he has not had: - a decent centre forward up front with him. He scored a lot of goals when he had the likes of Cavani, Martial and Weghorst playing alongside him - a genuine left back behind him, making overlapping runs enabling Rashford to cut inside and get a shot off with his right foot. - Hojlund and Garnacho rarely passed the ball and United contrived for the whole of last season and this to play without a natural left back. Little wonder Rashford has appeared pissed off!
