how is shaking a medical thermometer for getting the mercury back to the bulb related to the inertia? is it because of the mass of the mercury?
@fuseschool3 жыл бұрын
Yes, when you move the thermometer forward and suddenly stop (this is the best way to 'shake') the inertia of the mercury (related to its mass) keeps it moving and it returns past the constriction back into the bulb.

Is inertia considered to be a force?
@fuseschool3 жыл бұрын
Yes, inertia is a force which keeps stationary objects at rest and moving objects in motion at constant velocity. All objects have inertia.

Why is a person in a car thrown sideways when the car moves in a curve direction?
@nicksonGK20083 жыл бұрын
what is inertia
@samkh7464 жыл бұрын
Sorry, let me say that ""Nothing happens until something moves" mean a deeper concept about relativity,.... if everything stops or moves in the same speed noting will change or happened, so that depends on the state of to matter, not one.
@PureMediaCreative3 жыл бұрын
What would happen if there were no inertia?
@keithross70583 жыл бұрын
Inertia is linked to mass. The more massive something is the harder it is to get it to move, or if it is moving the harder it is to stop or change its direction. A universe without mass and thus without inertia or gravity could not exist as we know it.
