But like the late and great historian John Henrick Clarke always said the Bible without history will always be a mystery. Yes, no matter what version it is still the bible, and therefore is the same voice, with the same goal of transformation in mind for the reader. But this does not mean that the language and tone used to convey the messages are not important. It's important to read multiple versions and translations of a text, especially one as ancient as the bible to understand the different ways each message can be conveyed, and come to your own understanding. It is not something to take as a whole, but a collection of parables and stories that have been passed down and changed by so many people that you need to cross-reference them.

No, it is not the same. The original Bible is the Hebrew Tanakh which is the Old Testament written in hebrew. The closest to the Hebrew Bible that we have is the 1615 King James Version. English translation moves further and further away from what the Tankh was truly conveying with each new version that they make.

But he must realize that the Bible is his Refuge, and the rallying point for all Humanity. And it man will find the solution of his present difficulties and guidance for his future action, and unless he accepts with clear conscience the Bible and it's great message, he cannot hope for salvation. For my part I glory in the Bible...... Rastafari sons and daughters stop being disobedient and follow the teachings of his Imperial Majesty... it was because of Adam's disobey to the Almighty why we are in the position that we are in now this is my opinion.

Also, Strictly speaking, First, it is important for you to remember that the Bible is written literally, figuratively, prose and poetically, symbolically and prophetically, metaphor and simile, as well as allegorically. Unless you are a religious scientist, you have no idea when to read the Bible as prose and poetry or whether to read it figuratively or literally or when to read it as a prophecy or how to understand the symbols such as found throughout the Book of Revelation. Thus you need a teacher from God. Don't leave it up to someone else to read it for you; get your Bible and follow these Scriptures for yourself. Read them, study them and ask questions for yourself. I think you may have misunderstood what he was saying. Remember first off Rastafari don't discriminate or preach any kind of bad mind behaviour the message is unity and one love, he was stating that the bible is an interpretation which is a fact. All over the world people have their own interpretations of the bible it's for you as a person to study all these bibles and find your truth. We can not say our song is the best and spreads the most positive message without listening to everyone else's music. But as people what we can do is listen to everyone else's music and then make up our mind on the message we then would like to spread.. the message would be one for everyone, like he stated "U SHOULD NOT BURN THE BIBLE" because there is so much to learn. But don't look down on another man because of what he thinks, your mind, your body worry about you. after reading many interpretations It's hard to take one side I would urge people to read. Everyone wants to ask questions about the book instead of reading it and asking the Most High to guide and teach them. All these fruitless questions would be answered if one would just take the step and read, asking the Most High for guidance. His name is not Selassie-I nor is his name Jesus. What is the goal here concerning the bible? We have read or heard of the tower of babel where everyone was on one accord and they try and build a tower to heaven and God scattered them across the nation and confused their tongue. We can't physically reach heaven just like in our time now we can't be on one accord with the proof being one saint attacking another saint with scripture and he in return will use scripture to defend himself. Not so sure about this divine person of his majesty Haile Selassie stuff. I think the emperor would blush with embarrassment to hear such things being attributed to him. Selassie himself would tell all Rasta to follow the Christ, whom he himself called upon. Never saw himself as some messianic figure or the fulfillment of any prophecy. As a Jamaican i love my people, and i respect many things about the Rastafarian culture. But they seem rather confused when it comes to what the central message of the Bible is.
