When I was a little kid growing up in the 1980s and 1990s; there was a Jamaican Rasta that used to go into Prospect Park every morning at Sunrise during the Spring and Summer; and take off his Clarks/Travel Fox and socks, standing up in prayer for about a half hour. He called it Earthing! Mutubaruka is a real Rastical man!

My mother grew up in Jamaica, her and her siblings rarely wore shoes unless it was for school , church or other occasions. But due to the association of poverty and wealth a stigma has been severely attached to being barefoot and someone being in " need." Yet, there are many benefits , (aside from the nasty gut fluids aka spit, broken glass , dog sh*t ) , going barefoot. I admire the people of Jamaica who still practice this indigenous cultural practice and living way of life. They're masters at it and can do anything. Our feet our so sensitive because of wearing shoes constantly. I too have incorporated it during the warmer months whenever possible being in the cold climate. 💛💫🙏🏾

do you get in the mud for earthing too? or are we only supposed to do it in the grass
@elywananda10 ай бұрын
@@wop2784 Both are fine I think - mud or grass, or even sand, rocks. There's a documentary on here called Grounding which has some good stuff in there on the science of it all. But I think it's simple, touch grass/soil/plants coming directly out of the ground in whichever as often as you can, and as long as you can.

Didn't someone in England gifted Bob Marley a pair of converse sneakers that were dressed that led to the cancer in one toe? That information was shared on Facebook 3 years ago because the man was on his death bed confessing this.
