You can't go wrong with the Behringer RD-6 and RD-8. Excellent value for money, great sounds and lots of fun. I'm really looking forward to the LMDrum, too. That's definitely joining my collection. I've got the 707 and 727 set on my TR-8 - no song mode, of course, but lovely to have access to those sounds on a piece of hardware. I'd like a DrumBrute, too, any model would make me a happy camper. And maybe an Analog Rytm and/or a DSI Tempest. But my favourite drum machines are two of my oldest - the Boss DR-55 and the Yamaha RX-11. The DR-55 was my first drum machine back in 1984. I actually sold it in 1987 when I moved onto the DR-220A, then later a Korg DDD-5 and a TR-808. After the immense regret of selling the 808 I spent much of the 90s pining for an old analogue machine and, lo and behold, at a recording session in 2002 my old DR-55 was returned to me, free of charge. I have cherished that little box ever since then and it's never leaving my collection ever again.

I recently bought a nord drum 3p, well not a drum machine, but a drum synth. It can do incredible sounds. And I got the RD8 and RD9 as well. Love your channel!

I have the TR-8S and it is by far my favorite drum machine. Instant access to channel volumes is awesome, not to mention all the Roland drums. The other one that interests me is the Erica Synths LXR -02..mostly for the creation of custom digital drum patches.

Shame you sold the HR16 - you should definitely get another one. I have one, experimented with other ROMs, but went back to the originals. There's something very special about those sounds that works in the sort of music I make.

Totally agree on the 606! It’s not a machine I’d end up using a lot, but for some reason the sounds really speak to me!

Really interesting, I’ve got the HR16 and the Yamaha RX7 which is the same as the RX5 but with less outputs yet it has 100 sounds instead of just 24

I own a Roland Juno-60 and I love synth pop and Italo Disco from that era when the Linndrum and Juno-60 was made. So I will definitely buy the LM Drum if the final product is good.

As someone who is also very into inexpensive drum machines I have a few recommendations! Highly recommend the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator PO-12, very easy to use and very punchy and great sounds! Also recommend the Korg Volca Beats for its simplicity and very fun to use, also the Boss DR-110 for the same reasons!

I really like my Roland T8... I don't like a drum machine to try too hard to emulate a real kit... if I want that, I'll work with a drummer... i like the machine to sound like a machine and the T8 does that, especially synched with a Korg Volca 2... can get some interesting polyrhythms going that sound like a teddy bears picnic where someone spiked the lemonade
@mellepasveer61732 ай бұрын
I prefer the 606 the difrence is that the 707 or 727 sounds less "subtle" more punchy, a like the kick of the 606
