Infamous 2 - Part 1 - The Beast Arrives

So I'm playing through the Infamous series, now Playing Infamous 2. This game is one of the most realistic looks at how a person with superpowers might operate in real life, and deals with Militias, and moral choices. And of course, all the funner aspects of being able to traverse the city with said superpowers, and being a hero. Playing on hard.

Also, at the beginning, Cole doesn't even have an energy bar, so he may have gotten to a point where he could just use his powers non stop.

Captain Sam G It seems that way from the comics at least, where his hammer had just straight up replaced his regular bolt. Just realised that such a change was present in game.

One could argue that because of your efforts in the previous game, the destruction of your city has a more personal effect on you due to that attachment you feel. Also, Cole did say that the Beast "broke" his powers after the fight, so he's been weakened as a result.

@thebiggeridiot, @dragonman784, Oh don't get me wrong I understand why it was done from a story perspective, and if the Infamous franchise was entirely a comic or book I'd probably have no qualms when reading it. But from a gaming one I've never liked it when a sequel invalidates what I've done in a previous game. Same for being depowered, gotta think about and buy up all those upgrades again just to get back to where I once was. One of the reasons why I'm such a fan of New Game Plus, so when I revisit a game I don't have to worry about all that again.

Ya haha from a gaming perspective I totally understand that it can get annoying, I've definitely felt that way about certain games before too.

Well I think the whole point of the game is to show how Cole fails but then rises up to be a hero again, that's why you're weaker and probably the change of clothes.

we'll cole looked pretty damn average in in the first game too, also the developers probably realised that electricity would he harder to shoot with your hands with gloves on also the tats change depending on your karma

to be fair, if he wore the leather then he would die of heat heat exhaustion before a bullet even land on him XD plus i think the intention of his design even in the first one was to look like any other guy.

I know he was just wearing normal clothes, but the way it was all put together it still looked like a makeshift hero outfit, in my mind at least. I think I'd easily be satisfied if the t-shirt he's wearing in this just had a huge lightning logo slapped on the front or something.

Well this city is run by a faction that spreads lots of propaganda against this new species; conduits, plus an entire city just got completely wiped out by one.
