Tim! Omg, I can’t believe I found you on KZbin. Good to see you enjoying life. This is a funny looking Alfa that you are driving, but I am guessing with the Japanese parts it does not leak oil all over people’s driveways. Nice one bro and much love. Seb

Wow seb it’s been a minute hey!! Hahaha I actually sold my latest Alfa to finance this project, check ep 1 of the Moz series! And before you ask yes it gave me endless trouble!

What kind of rig are you using outside your driver side window Tim?
@LostinAfrica3 жыл бұрын
It’s called a K Kam magnetic mount, made locally, Digital Experience in Fourways stocked them last I checked. On top of it I’ve got a manfrotto 501 fluid head, and a canon R5 with 60-600 sigma! ☺️

I thought the view looked familiar at the start. Is that up near Ponta Membene? We stayed there with friends a few years ago. It was quite a trip from the north of Scotland, but man what a place. Absolutely stunning.
@LostinAfrica Жыл бұрын
Yup exactly right! So beautiful there hey, did you hire a 4x4 in Johannesburg and then drive down?
@pungarehu Жыл бұрын
@@LostinAfrica nope. We had friends who had worked with locals to create an eco camp and they took us up there as part of our induction into overlanding in Africa. We had a red duiker in our camp one night and that was definitely a highlight. The Ellies there are sure not to be messed with either - quite a reputation. You certainly don’t want to meet them on that winding track through the sand forest -especially when you are trying to keep your speed up on the sand roads. A week at Ponta Membene watching the world go by was not the worst job in the world.

@@pungarehu sounds like a heavenly job. One of those places you go that it is hard to imagine a life in the hustle and bustle of a city hey!
@pungarehu Жыл бұрын
@@LostinAfrica luckily for me I live in the Scottish highlands and I work as an environmental consultant, so cities are to be avoided like the plague when you have been wandering the mountains all summer. Maputo special reserve suited me fine as it’s population density is about a low as ours. When we were there though, it was called Tembe national park, or was that only part of the larger whole.

Great video man! What camera and lense do you use ?
@LostinAfrica3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Pieter, my main camera is a Canon R5 normally with a 24-70 f2.8 or 70-200 f2.8 on it. I also have a Canon R which often has the 60-600 sigma on. We also use two go pros, the drone, snd my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
