Prince Daniel och jag har nagonting in common. Vi bada har haft njurentransplantation och överleved! They do make up a beautiful couple (and now they are a family with little Estelle!). Yeah, it´s like a family gathering. For instance, the King of Sweden Carl Gustaf and the Danish Queen Margarethe are first cousins. Her mother Ingrid was a Swedish princess, daughter to King Gustaf Adolf (the current Swedish kings grandfather). The mother of the Norwegian king Harald V of Norway, Märta, was also a Swedish princess, first cousin to King Gustaf Adolf. Her sister Ingrid was Queen in Belgium, she was the current Belgian king Philippe's paternal grandmother. Just a few examples. They are related in many different way further back too.

Sweden is blessed with a so clever heiress. The monarchy is safe for a generation with Victoria. Generally speaking, the Scandinavian monarchies are well appreciated, the princes and princesses are not on their high horses and anyway these countries are rich enough to avoid any crisis that would require to sack a scapegoat like a monarch ...
