Classical mushroom still my favourite album. The problem with producing tracks the way you guys do is that the average listener cannot always appreciate "a lot of stories" in one track, and in some ways this type of music is unconventional in the music sense, however, to the more experienced ears we do definitely appreciate the well thought out creativity of your music ❤️
@ronnetgrazer3623 жыл бұрын
It's true, you can't please the "average" listener, nor should you want to. They get fed shit from all the pop stations, and they're fine with it. I guess that's a great thing of having a planet with several billion people on it: there's a million people who can appreciate the style and quality you like.
@Gnadab3 жыл бұрын
It’s not a problem though. Most people like music that’s like fast food for your ears, while music like Psytrance is a much more acquired taste. It’s like comparing McDonalds to a 3 Star Michelin restaurant.

@@ronnetgrazer362 So much enlightenment and wisdom and all that from psytrance and psychedelics yet you still have to shit on other peoples music ?
@raingirlcat22452 жыл бұрын
@@ronnetgrazer362 Infected Mushroom is the best psytrance act of all time in my opinion, and it’s cool how they also mix in electronic rock, but not all “ pop music” is bad. You need to broaden your horizon. Even rappers like Jay-Z and Kanye West paint beautiful stories and pictures. They talk about struggle, depression, bipolar, trauma. Those artists have helped me with PTSD, so not all “ pop “ artists are horrible and bland. You’re probably listening to Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and honestly Rihanna has some really beautiful piano ballads, including Adele. Some pop artists can paint beautiful pictures of different sounds/colors. You just have to listen to pop THAT doesn’t suck.

It is such a treat when you find out that behind the music you like the artists that made it are just humble, kind and just plain enthousiastic people. @SquareNoggin3 жыл бұрын
Man, I'm one of the guys that jyst doesn't "get" DT, but so many artists I do like (and friends who's taste I otherwise agree with) seem to really idolize them. Like I can dig technical progressive stuff, it's just I've always felt that DT lacks a certain... rawness and a certain chaos that I find is just so important in music. It's just not messy enough, not emotional enough, not enough of the baggage and flaws that make us human and that I can find in less technical music. I'd love to be proven wrong though, and if there's any tracks that you think prove me wrong I'm all ears.
@TeddyKish3 жыл бұрын
@@SquareNoggin hey man. Well at the very least I'd recommend ' A change of seasons', Surrounded, Metropolis Pt. 1, Scarred.. there are just so many great songs by them but these are the first that come to mind. I am very attracted towards their melodic and technical abilities, and they combine them in a level that other artists struggle really hard to achieve

@@TeddyKishI’m a DT fan as well, and am so happy that Mike Portnoy has finally joined DT again, but to be honest, Symphony X is better. Michael Romeo is also a virtuoso Guitarist, just like John P.
