The thing here is we can use the meta grinding method but u can also just lay back and fish or somethin. In blox fruits u have to beat mobs to gain level. Here U will also have to beat mobs sometimes but there are also other methods to progress

If boats are gonna be the main form of transport overseas, I really hope they make it so that fruits are faster on land but when you start to travel over water you move slower. Maybe it also scales depending on how far you are from the closest island.

Make it like how it is in the anime, ships are the dominant form of transportation on the seas(aside from stuff like hie) and on land fruits are better. Fruits the second they touch water get their hp vaporized(like gpo where they can't escape either without help)
