I just check the pob, it did give ele focus more dps but i dont get it, heavy swing give 35% more melee phys, it scale all the dmg while ele focus only give 25% more and it only scale 70% of the dmg, because srs only convert 70% of the dmg to fire(elemental). Is it because of the less atk spd?

@@WL-vb4fn Heavy Swing does not scale all damage like Heft is doing currently, only the physical part after the conversion to fire. Then you have the 10% less attack speed which reduces the damage overall. If you combine heavy swing with fire infusion on a melee minion you can see in the tooltip that heavy swing does not increase the fire infusion damage which Heft does if you swap them around.

Might transition from snipers to frosties. lol and I just finished getting the last of the Jewels to run gg snipers. Looks like minimal changes to gear and board. Jewels 💎 like *Prism of Belief* are where it’s going to hurt switching over to frosties yikes.

Been thinking of switching out snipers for Frosties. They seem really OP. Infernalists and had great synergy. Finishing the Sniper build, they are great for farming! I’m rocking the Temporalis definitely a game changer.

Frost Mages are insane Im running a sorta similar setup, but the body blocking gets so frustrating. Im down to 14 FM and still dont notice a DPS difference but do notice they dont get caught on eachother as much. Really hope GGG fixes minion AI or lets us make them aggressive.

@Eryn75 For pinnacle boss and my current setup, i dont need raging spirit and flame wall. raging spirit is still useful if you want to do close map. the thing is this game doesnt really need that much dps, if you see the showcase, most of the boss down in 1-2 sec, adding 2 extra sec, the boss still die before the freeze gone.

@@ton-ek4pm scattershot is a must for frost mage, scattershot makes frost mage shot 3 projectile, this allow the frost mage to shotgun. This is how frost mage works, it shoot projectile and if it hits the target, it explode. So when you shoot 3 projectile, you got 3 explosion, that 3 explosion able to hit the same target, this is what we called shotgun. For fork, its an additional if you want more clear, it will make the projectile split into 2 when it hit target, the angle always 45 degree from where the projectile come from.

@ for mapping yes, there also option wildshards, so scattershot is a must, then you hv a choice to use fork or willdshards, or both if you go to map

well my passive tree is totaly diff, i go snipers , i dont need that much es cuz snipers just broken in this setup and what allowed me this is 785es armor . i have 6k es with grim feast capped res,, snipers got capped res 11k lifee for mapping 13k bossing, 44k dmg for mapping with scatter 77k bossing dmg, 26 snipers for mapping or 30 for boss. they pretty much delete the game and every boss on any diff. 13 jew slots each jew cost 5divs 4 jews are 9divs. if i need es i can swap some passives and go up to 8k es and drop dmg to 72k ,pretty flexible build. this is 96lvl witch. also good thing with this build you can start it at lvl 92 with 100ex investment in jews and then upgrade them as you get more currency, minion dmg and minion 4%attack speed jews are cheap

Why did you change your passive tree? Needed more Energy Shield for higher boss maps? I followed your passive tree with the gemling, but used an infernalist. And it did lowered my ES to 9k with grim feast.

@turtlefreak3444 im confused, you are using gemling tree? i mean overall is pretty similar, in this one i do take es node, on gemling i dont take most of the es node. the reason why i take es node on this one because i lack es coz of gear, in gemling i can just focus getting hi es base, on infernalist, i want life roll so i can get more spirit, that makes the gear that im using on infernalist have lower es

@@WL-vb4fn Sorry for the confusion i meant the one with the infernalist/sniper tree. It was very similar to the gemling one where you used alot of Jewels. this new Update uses fewer Jewels but more Passive nodes for ES.

I don't get how people get hypothermia in that large of a radius. Comparing gems to his build, I have the same stuff, and it's not even close to that large. Do any of you have suggestions or tips?

@wrek1988 there is a node passive tree that do that, so watch the section where i explain about the weapon swap tech, its only hv big radius if i cast it in weapon set 2

Maybe a combination of both (Snipers + Frost mages) would be a sweet spot? Like 4 frost and rest snipers, idk. I also noticed that sometimes it's hard to control snipers, while their damage is quite big for map clear. Snow minions are nice at controlling all, but a bit more range would make them best minions for sure...

@@Daily_Vault thats what i did with the gemling setup, you can check it on my channel. I think its a good compromise, full sniper is still a touch faster in mapping, but the addition of frostmage that offer value that imo surpass the small clear speed cost

Hey i was running almost the same setup already and its working insanely good but currently got a problem where i have 850 max mana and my frost skelly ability costs 500 mana whish makes the ice spikes almost impossible to cast.. you know any fix for that?

@@AuraAmile take mana node, the higher the frost mage level, the cost will also increased. In my case, i think it eat my entire mana lols

@@zianni7417 thx! + Spell skills doesnt work with minion gem coz minion gem is not a spell gem. For trenchtimbre i dont think there anything other than spirit, maybe atkspd so you can leap slam faster but i dont think its that important

Do you know if it's profitable to farm bosses like Breachstones with frost mages? I find that I can kill +4 We Are One but I'm not sure the viability of doing it for profits.

With frost mages I can kill any boss easily. 35 lvl gem + 450 spirit. With other minions its harder.

@sLiniss yes, bossing is pretty good for currency, arbiter of ash also pretty good, the 4th socket chest still sell really well, expedition boss olroth give olroth flask thats 26 div (although its pretty rare), king of mist also really nice, ingenuity is still really expensive. it just you need some currency to start for the fragment to access the fight. boss burn more money but also make more

@ my gem lvl is 21 and you’ll need to corrupt and hope that it gives +1, and i think i use 2 mastery supported gem, then the endless blizzard. So 21 + 8(weapon) + 5(helmet, amulet) + 2(support gem) + 1(endless blizzard), total 37

@@firstter1191 for T4 simu, frostmage is good because of the cc, but you will still need a good enough dps to kill all the mobs fast enough. I can farm simu with gemling and infernalist, I hv a video on gemling that use sniper and frostmage, i can farm simu with that setup too

@@kevinparis6782 sniper for mapping and frost mage for boss. you can do sniper on both gemling and infernalist, i have video for both and I also have video that use both sniper and frostmage (this one need to be gemling). Gemling is more budget friendly, at least with my setup, you dont have to care about chaos resistance and life on gear, that itself alrdy make the gear cheaper

For me it feels like sniper is not better choice. 1. While snipers got bigger distance they staying on bigger distance behind player. 2. With frost mages and shards everything around player is perma frozen and its safe to run into hordes of enemies while with snipers you can die any moment 3. Weapon swap + blink makes snipers to attack single target all at once after respawn whitch slows clear speed while with frost mages I just blink into pack of enemy and spawn my pack of mages to insta kill everyting around. 4. With weapon swap you can buff your frost mages via big sigil of power. I have minions lvl 35 and 450+ spirit.

@apcrol the speed is vastly different, I have both setup, its not even close to sniper, and sniper is a lot more safe than people tought, the sniper can hit pretty far even at the location where you blink. so in term of mapping, sniper is still the king. the you can check my sniper video and compare how well sniper do on breach, i can pretty much clean the entire breach, with frostmage, not even half

@@WL-vb4fn well I am just talking about my experience, I can run 25 snipers lvl 35 but generally they are always running far behind me and too confused after blink while with 18 frost mages I can stay afk or blink without fear that my minions gonna start killing enemies around one by one after respawn :D

@ same here man, test both, sniper is just way ahed for clear speed. frostmage have aoe so yeah they kill pach of enemies at once, you just need to drag them forward, patch 0.1.1 did make it possible.

In game, Endless Blizzard doesn't seem to increase the frost mage dps tooltip but it increases the gem level. Is this just a visual bug or is the node itself not working properly? Currently I have deadly swarm annointed because of this reason.

I find frost mages easier than snipers to run simulacrum, but can’t push past T3 cause of survivability issues. What do you do to survive when all your mages die and there’s a few seconds before they respawn?

@@MegaBokchoi the way i approach it is by pushing more dps, that way your frostmage will live, frostmage have cc, but you still need to kill the mob fast enough. +3 and +4 deli is not a easy content by default, i know they nerf it a bit, but it still very much a difficult content, imo more difficult than other +4 boss
