This was so thoughtful, articulate, and wise. As someone with infertility issues, this made me feel SO VALID. Also the filming set up is LUSH

YESS. When people start giving advice it feels like “you’re not doing enough” even though you’re doing 100 times more than most people have to do to get pregnant

Love this conversation as someone who was never Mormon but had a huge faith change in the midst of going through infertility.

My husband is 36 and I’m 28. No one ever questions him about when he’s having kids.

It’s so interesting how our environments affect our views on motherhood. I just found out I’m pregnant while in the military. It’s such a male dominated field and they treat it like a disability that will affect my work ethic 👎🏻 something that’s supposed to be exciting is kind of embarrassing!

The God's timing thing has always felt like prosperity gospel to me. I do believe He has a plan but I think this concept of you do something right for God and God gives you something good has been SO harmful for people and especially women experiencing infertility. We can't earn His hand in our life. Everything is an opportunity for growth but even the MOST grown man (Jesus) experienced pain. People who basically act like you can "develop your way out of pain" have gotta go.

Amen, completely agree with you. Pain is part of the Christian walk, without it we will never grow in our walks and grow closer to God. Without pain we remain the same, it's what a soldier must endure. In Christ He keeps us strong in the pain, the grief, the struggles. Though no one chooses to go through trials and tribulations, we learn so many lessons through it. When I look back at what I've gone through I wouldn't change any of it one bit.
