My husband and I have gone to the clinic today and we are so devastated our first IVF failed 😭 I was looking for videos that says there’s a way for egg quality to be better but then i felt discouraged hearing what Dr Morris has said there’s no cure to make the quality of the eggs better. My cousin has been trying to conceived for so many years. During her early marriage life, she had bad lucks causing her to loose 2 undeveloped embryos. Later on, she and her husband have been "babyless" since idk maybe almost 10 years. She's still young, still in her early 30's now. Last few months she was expecting a baby but the embryos didn't stick. Many times now... The embryos failed to turn into baby. However, my cousin is still strong and believes that she will have baby. Pray for her and her future children.

IUI #1 & 2 & 3 Purgon 150 & Clomid 100 BFN x3. IVF #1 - transferred 2 low grade morulas on day 5 - BFN. Donor egg cycle overseas. IVF#1 - transferred 1 grade 4AA embryo - BFN. IVF#2 - transferred 2 blasts. Got BFP on 6dp5dt!! 7wk 3d ultrasound - 1 heartbeat! IVF changed our lives and brought the happiness we've never experienced before..

It is not your fault if your embryo doesn’t stick! (I was offended by the title lmao). Yes there is science with it but if you put in a good embryo you can’t do anything to make it be a success. I had my daughter at 35 turning 36 and I plan on having another child within the next year or two. At this point I will be 39 turning 40. If IVF is the route any woman has to go then take that route and don’t feel bad about it. There are still woman in their 40s who are having healthy children without IVF and there are women in their 20s who need IVF.

Unfortunately it's not that simple. You can do all of those things and it won't necessarily work out. You can also do none of those things and it may work. Does this mean that the treatment with GonalF or similar does not help produce more or better egg? I'm 40, started the IVF with GonalF Produced 4 eggs, 3 where fertilised, 2 implanted. Did my Beta Hcg testing, started with a low 30 and 48h later hade 120.. I'm on progesteron and on the exact firts day on my cicle I started spotting. I am turning 30 this year and am doing ivf because me and hubby are both beta thalassemia carriers. We did our ivf round a year ago and got 2 transferrable embryos. One is a thalassemia carrier but better embryo grade the other was thalassemia free but had a 5CB grading. I just did my FET 3 days ago and waiting for results. Anybody has tips on ways to help embryo to implant?

Hello, thanks for the very interesting video. Could i ask a question please? I tried icsi twice in London at 38/39, 1st was a grade 1 6-day old blastocyst that was hatching. My uterus lining was fine, no problems whatsoever. It failed. Second transfer 2 months later, was a 5-day frozen embryo, did immune suppression as well, at ARGC London, failed again. 1 year later we found a surrogate, did icsi in Armenia, fresh embryo, 3-day old, it worked, she is 26 weeks pregnant now. So the issue wasnt egg quality. I don't have any problems apart from very heavy periods. Could menorrhagia be connected to failed implantation? Many thanks.

Not unless menorrhagia is due to abnormalities like fibroids, polyps or endometritis

We have just found your channel. Myself and my husband are in the medical profession and you explain this very vulnerable and stressful process so so well. Thank you so much. We wanted to ask you a question please on your professional opinion with regards to taking propofol for embryo transfer. I have great difficult with any of these procedures and we did have to use sedation on our last FET which was sadly unsuccessful but we are worried that the drug can cause significant harm to the embryo right at the beginning of the process. Any help or advice you can offer would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance from Scotland 🙏🏻

A review of 5 studies suggests there may be a small increase in miscarriage in women who had surgery in the first half of pregnancy. However, it is unclear whether this is due to the anesthesia, or a response of the body to surgery in an affected organ, illness in the mother or another reason. At the time of embryo transfer, the embryo has not yet implanted, so there is no direct connection between the maternal circulation and the embryo thus limiting exposure of the embryo to the anesthetic agent

Infertility TV thank you so much for your advice. We really appreciate you getting back to us. We have our transfer on Monday and just got ourselves into a bit of a dilemma over whether to have propofol again or not. You have give me us food for thought so thanks again 🙏🏻

would weight cause an egg not to stick as well? I'm on the obese side at looking into fertility options and I feel like no FS would even wanna consult with me until I drop about 100 pounds. granted I've seen women my size and heavier pregnant but theirs all happened naturally
@InfertilityTV4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure we know the entire answer. One interesting study found that obesity altered which genes were activated in the uterine lining. This may contribute to the lower implantation rates and increased miscarriage rates seen in obese infertile patients

What about ovarian rejuvenation? Where they take stem cells from your blood and inject them into your ovaries to improve egg quality. Women over 50 who have been through the menopause have been able to have a child after this. I know they do this in New York, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus. I'm surprised at how little research is going into this. I would have thought it would be in high demand.
@InfertilityTV4 жыл бұрын
We have been conducting a study using PRP for a few years now www.ivf1.com/ivf1-research-studies As of yet, I am not convinced that this helps even a little bit. The centers in New York, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus (ours is in Chicago) should not be charging patients for this treatment as it is unproven
@arsenalhouse4 жыл бұрын
I have read that there are two types of ovarian rejuvenation. The one that you speak of called PRP where they use Platelet-rich plasma injected into the ovaries is not ment to be that successful . In the other type of ovarian rejuvenation they use the patient's own stem cells to inject into the ovaries. Stem cells are being used a lot nowadays to heal people from cancer and other illnesses. The stem cell rejuvenation is the one that they do in New York, Greece and a few other places in Europe. As usual, the U.K is so heavily regulated by the HFEA, I can't see them offering this here any time soon.

Hi Doctor. Do you recommend women bed rest after transfer or remain active as they normally would?
@cmhopes063 жыл бұрын
I just read that science has not proven that bedrest improves implantation after an embryo transfer but at Houston Infertility Institute they believe in 3 day bedrest in order to ensure that the body does not endure any stresses.
@InfertilityTV3 жыл бұрын
Why 3 days? Why not 2? Why not 4? or 40? Its all arbitrary and is not based on any science (as you noted)
@laurab48683 жыл бұрын
I disagree with bed rest I personally believe light walking best helps because it allows blood to flow nicely through the body and to the uterus. Just no heavy lifting or straining exercise
