Infested NYC Creates 1st Anti-Rat Day of Action

As New York City gets tough on its rodent problem, the first Anti-Rat Day of Action was held Saturday in Harlem. City agencies, including the sanitation department, teamed up to show and tell people how to keep rats out of the community. "Rats need food, water and shelter to survive. Today, we're going to cut off their food source and reduce their habitat," said Kathleen Corradi, New York City’s new Rat "Czarina." Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer has more.

The video is correct - rats like food, water, shelter. Rats don't especially like dirt, it's what they accept to survive. Similarly, they adapted to the night even though they prefer the day. Google your false facts: A rat cleans itself several times more than a cat. Probably several hundred times more than the average New Yorker.

There’s plenty of rats all over La. I see them at night as the sun sets…running along the electrical wires and atop fences. If you go out in the back yard at night you’ll hear them in the bushes. This is in every part of LA. especially now we have been over run by homeless who leave their waste and feces out on the sidewalk everywhere you look.
