I understood that this is about going out of your comfort zone and opening your mind. Instead of trying to listen to a new idea (doesn't matter if its right or wrong) he automatically flips and flees to his comfort zone, and tries as hard as he can to never leave it anymore.

I think the depth of this piece easily accommodates both thoughts and more, that it was about hypocrisy, infidelity, the various ways people are apt to believe and behave when faced with information versus misinformation, and probably a few things I didn't catch. The overall message is profoundly complex.
@falcont2tjockey10 жыл бұрын
i think the message was how we are so into stuff not related to us that we cannot see the wrong in our very own lifes, like, the guy is so worried about some crazy guy who says the holocaust did not happen, while he is not even worried about the fact hes cheating on his partner, like its the most normal thing ever.
@GameDogLeader2110 жыл бұрын
No, your wrong. Its the opposite, its deep. Shows how he's seen that cheating is wrong, and its not debatable, that's why he says he wants to start coming home early.

How would you revisit YOUR comment in light of two years of imposed silence and perversion of science by the WHO ? I used to think like you did . I have amended my brains to incorporate the recent Pseudo-Pandemic BS that was imposed on 80% of the planet by liberal left totalitarian govs. Liberalism has gone full retard and FASCIST . Free expression is above and beyond who's right and who's wrong it has to be absolute for to have any meaning . I remember saying to myself "Good thing he broke that record" ... Heck I was worried he did do it fast enough ... In 2022 ... I would never break that record and would try the figure out if there is TRUTH and evidence foe the MAN'S CLAIM . 80% of the planet stopped thinking for two years . Most nations adopted the islamic veils for two years ... Think my proposition is far fetched ? I hope you are the one to WIN the argument and that all the evidence will prove Alin ... Correct . Be safe Alin and Happy ... No anger was meant ... I simply say politely I was like you two years ago ... I was BLIND . :( Later good sir Fom Montreal Drew says merci .
@niniv27062 жыл бұрын
By the way ... I still accept that it was an impressive piece of work . I changed camps on the Free expression debate ... I am today after two years of Sheep group-think about masks, Mrna's, open borders, diversity is our strenght, trans-cis-queer ideology for kids, ... I had my fill of liberalism and made my house in the conservative camp . In 2022 ... My little idea of simple family life is presented as RACIST and xenophobic ... And I am expected to STAY silent in Canada BY LAW or be purged from all social endeavours ... Welcome to 2022 and this Future short is scary as Fu.. ... Alin ... Imagine I had to dot out the F word as YT algorythm said I was being HATEFUL ... I got a freakin' warning for this . I love you man ... You would have understood that I was not hateful twd you ... I despise 2022 already :( Later Alin

I didn't think this movie was really about the holocaust, but about how frightening and upsetting it can be when other people don't believe the same things we do. I thought it was very good. And I do think the holocaust happened, although given how Israel acts now, we apparently didn't learn much from it.

If there is to be a Jewish state, then the Jewish demographics of this state must be preserved. Unlike Europe and the US, Israel is not insane, and has no desire to destroy itself.

Even now, faint echoes of this man Hitler continue to evoke so many mixed feelings in many people. He was a dreadfully powerful man with a vision. And power always corrupts our limited sense of moral compass. But even worse, is what the truth has to offer. Nick Drake said it best in a song "Please beware them that stare, they'll only smile to see you while your time away. And once you've seen what they have been; To win the earth just won't seem worth your night or your day. Who'll hear what I say?" What he means is that society & it's victims are only there to stop you from cultivating reality. The world is much darker than you're prepared to acknowledge, & most people around the age of 30 tend to create a fantasy land of consumerism, family, career, & distraction rather than address the corporeal world. It's less painful that way. Unfortunately Nick Drake couldn't shut the truth out, & his ensuing dejection with the world inevitably killed him. This is why I have all due respect for artists, scientists & philosophers. Because they have to bare the truth to do what they do until the day they die. Hitler is only 1 example. But flip a coin indeed.. or make a choice.. Do you want the truth? A wealth of inspiration? Or do you want to slip away into the obscurity of time as though you never existed? All that money will disappear on your death bed. But your accomplishments will remain as long as mankind does. Now that, is GOD like power.

It's a brilliant, sinister film! On the face of it, an unfaithful husband gets waylaid psychologically by his Hitler-sympathizer friends and even girlfriend, and seemed repentant enough at the end to reaffirm his marriage. But equating infidelity with genocide is too far of a stretch to draw as a moral lesson from this film. However, there is some complex link at work here: Beliefs, if entrenched and strident enough, can sweep an entire nation off its feet, and they weave through generations like an unbreakable set of threads - all the way into each of our personal lives. Many of us may deny vehemently that we are nothing like Hitler or his sympathizers, but in a way I think the film is saying that we are indeed all alike in that we believe in things and those beliefs aren't so easy to alter. These beliefs may seem stunning or radical to others, such as the belief that the holocaust never happened, but whatever our personal ones may be, we hold them near and dear. Finally, the title of this film is "Infidel," which has frank religious, even sociopolitical overtones. So I don't really think that Miles' extramarital shenanigans are the central theme of the film, otherwise it would've been titled "Unfaithful." But he does seem to represent the lone dissenter in a circle of friends who clearly don't share his fundamental beliefs. Even his girlfriend calls him out in the car for his dissenting behavior, and that may have been the last straw in their secret relationship.
