@@alphamoonman I mean a chance to be counter-sniped, since you have to start sprint immediately after shot and even this not guaranteed you avoiding your death. But this fucking gun force you to stay on target, making you exposed just enough to be killed even by non twitch-aim dudes. This weapon will build habits what you don't want to have with any other gun. For me firing railjerk sound like dinner bell, i can't remember a single infil who been able to kill me with this. Railjerk users literally a sitting free kill, the hardest part of claiming it is distance what you need to walk for it.

One thing to add is, don't aim uncloacked. Decloak is fast enough and putting yourself in the open is never a good idea. As mostly an infiltrator player, if you don't aim-decloak-shoot-cloak, you are extreamely easy to spot and kill. But please don't listen to my advice keep doing what you are doing I need those auraxium medals.

(I really wish that I could see what my adjusted KDR would be if revives counted alongside kills; I just made an NSO robot and got 13 revives and 3 kills off 5 deaths in the toon's first fight.)

An important thing to remember about the power knives is that, when activated, they work differently than the others. Regular knives hit the instant you attack, and strike in a small diagonal arc; power knives only hit in the middle of the animation, and the damage is pinpoint to the center of the screen.

I have been smacking people with the power knife and they say it’s more op then the shotgun... bull shit the thing is a pain to smack someone who is moving. I don’t even use stalker with the knife I am a nano weave or Hunter cloak user and it’s challenging in fun since the enemy never expects the guy with the knife to blow out your brains with a gladius or canis

Stalker cloak with a crossbow and explosive darts in the backline of a vehicle battle. Before there was a kill cam it was easier but it can be good fun. Anti vehicle stalker infiltration is a playstyle nobody expects. :)

@@CAMIKAZE78 Just remember to try to find a fight between the two rival factions and when they turn up the heat looking for you, switch sides of the battle. Go kill the other tanks. :) bring EMP grenades, and an ammo printer implant. The EMP grenades are for when you see engineers putting down mines to get a sneaky little kill.

They are nerfing the explosive crossbow in the next patch ( Changing the damage type ), so it wont be as effective unfortunately.. The crossbow is also really good if you are trying to Aurax a non 1hitKO Knife as you can quickly fire then knife the opponent (Does not work on heavies unless you headshot)

the default semi auto snipers for the tr an vs are still really good now that they come with the computer stabilizers to make follow up shots easier, the vs even has no bullet drop, even though it is a sniper rifle. I actually prefer the va39 for sniper rifles, but the Obelisk is my go to for field and flanking, no bullet drop, heat instead of ammo, and no damage drop off.

The support sniper is my favorite role. Sit back on top of a hill, drop darts on a base, warn your squad about gal drops and whatnot, and put pressure on breachers. Makes a base so much more annoying to take.

I actually love doing this as a stalker. If you stay completely in the open, it's almost impossible to see you in cloak. And seeing that heavy assault look around jumping and panicking is the best feeling ever while also buying some time for allies.

@@Dplusithicus well it gives an infiltrator an automatic weapon that can take down targets at a relatively decent range. It's also not super expensive and gives you a weapon that can even take down heavies or even MAX units. That's something that you have a lot of trouble with early on but the automatic scout rifle sorta evens out the playing field. So if you're not asking it to do that which it can't and using your cloak as your main weapon and the weapon as that which secures the kill, it works. But I digress.

I would like to add a small addition to TIP5: All the factions has different cloaking sounds. It's not a big of an addition but there's lots of times when it's 3way party, and you really want the intel about which faction infils are around you. I was going to mention the sneaky "3rd party farming from range infils" when the two other factions are clashing in this same thought but the killcam has changed this meta, and it's much harder now just to stay at bay and enjoying the kills. Also minor add to TIP6 concerning the 1v1 against Heavy: If the Heavy has Resist overshield he/she can survive the headshot from the bolt action rifles when using it.

Recon darts are zerg herders. The zerg want targets, and most simply look at their mini map for the highest concentration of enemy dots. Well, if you dart where you want the zerg to attack, viola, enemy dots, followed rapidly by the zerg. And for cert farming, find a zerg vs zerg, drop a dart in the center, sit back and collect certs. Doting spawn centers a) earns certs b) helps the zerg pin the enemy in the spawn point, And doting around YOUR spawn point helps spawners spot campers.

After a few hundred hours of Stalker Infil, I think that the motion spotter is a better recon tool than the recon darts. It lasts longer (you only need to place 1 in most situations, so you only need to decloak once), reveals exactly where the enemy is looking when they’re close enough, and baits enemies in if you want Proxi Mine kills, the recon darts glow brighter and can give you away bad because you need line-of-sight on a specific area, which can tell an angry light assault if you are on top of a tower or below it. The Hunter QCX is also an amazing sidearm to have: it can 1 tap headshot other infiltrators with explosive or default darts, kill most classes as fast as you can shoot and knife with it at point blank, has great hip fire with a laser, and has a 6x scope with no sway. Explosive bolts can kill lone vehicles reliably (if you have the ammo and shoot the rear), recon bolts are a fun intimidation tool with the biggest bait in Planetside if you can make someone think there are two infiltrators or even three with decoy nades, and if the incendiary darts are good (I play on Ps4 so I don’t have access to the test server), will essentially make you impossible to spot with the directional damage indicator. Don’t place mines in the middle of a door where they’re visible, place them on the sides of the door or even on top of it if you’re not TR with claymores, or even outside on a predictable path where they wouldn’t expect one. Flashlights are effective, but an angry heavy with a splash damage weapon or 100+ round lmg is scarier. Oh, and if you can’t resist spotting while invis, don’t use the empire specific voices (If a TR max hears Starscream or The Terminator himself spot them, they might get suspicious). ;)

The best places to put mines is an area where a player will take the most time to traverse through; between a path of crates, in corners, above a stairway, behind a doorway, IN THE WINDOWS, at a vehicle terminal. Also, if detect bolts were Class-specific to infils on the Hunter QCX, I wouldn't miss my solo-infil days of sniping and capping bases.

Remember you cannot knife and run at the same time, so if you're having trouble chasing someone down as a stalker you can jump toward them then knife keeping your speed and momentum.

Every Faction has it's own cloaking sound. If you learn to differentiate between the different sounds, you can get a warning about nearby enemy infils.

Learning to climb everything slowly with an infinite cloak is very rewarding. Especially on door edges walls while guys are running around with flashlights on the ground while your looking down upon the champs. Then decloak to capture a point. Then allowing them to recapture a point only to return and capture it again.

NC’s AF-8 Railjack has the highest bullet velocity of all small weapons (850 m/s vs 650 m/s for the EM4 Longshot), but has a 0.2 sec delay between pulling the trigger and the bullet being fired.

If you're Vanu the Obelisk is a lot of fun. The consistent damage and lack of bullet drop makes it effective at medium and extreme ranges. It's still a 2 shot kill but the heat mechanic means you have infinite ammo. This is my favorite sniper.

Hunter loadout: Hunter QCX. Fujin, Grenade bandolier, power knife of your faction, catlike (i use also safe fall in few scenarios where you can exploit terrain to escape), but either sensor shield or athlete is great too. With this one it doesn't matter if you're alone against a platoon in a ghost cap, the base basically becomes your farming ground. You can also use pilot if you are experienced at infiltrating heavily populated areas.

Don't underestimate stalker cloak. Fill your loadout with explosives. Mines. Grenade bandolier with normal frags. Sneak into Ti Alloys. And do it. I'm too poor to have every weapon unlocked, but Showdown, one of A7 weapons serves me really well with this cloak.

Yep, motion spotter addicts unite! To be honest I find them sneakier than darts. a motion spotter on the floor does not always mean there is still an infiltrator around, where darts are a dead givaway that someone can fire on that position. (Its also way more noticable on the map)

After playing the infiltrator for more than 1000 hours in this game, I will give some additional thoughts on loadouts. First of all, if you play right, you won't ever need Nano-Armor Cloaking. Yes, there will be times you might lose a 1 vs. 1 because of 100 less shield, but I take the longer stealth time every time. You should be the one shooting the first bullet and that should be advantage and distraction enough to win battles. Second of all, I'd take Ammo-Printer and Target Focus for long range sniping and additionally a Motion Spotter. For the suit slot you should probably rather go for Advanced Shield Capacitor or Nanoweave Armor. Next, I can highly recommend taking Sweeper HUD for SMG builds as there can be some nasty claymores around that you should place, too! I can see why you'd recommend taking a med-kit, but being able to make some ways deadly for the enemies is in most situations more valuable. Also, Grenade-Bandolier can be really useful in more situations than you might expect. Combined with Sweeper HUD you can see enemy mines from miles away and can easily get some kills by throwing an EMP in that direction. In a squad you probably should pick Grenade-Bandolier for pushing a room, destroying spawn-beacons and other gadgets (like spitfire turrets). Also, I see why you would recommend taking Catlike for better flanking, but I'm rarely in a situation when playing SMG that I would need Catlike. Go for Assimilate or something else instead. Ammunition Belt is a wasted slot on a CQ sniper build in almost all situations. Take anything else than that and take Catlike! You can reach some nasty spots with Catlike that you need in a lot of situations when going for CQ sniping. One good reason why you would want to play the Stalker Cloak is for getting even more information about the enemies while playing in a squad. Sit in some place noone would expect and just spot the enemies all day long. Taking Catlike with this build is recommended as you can often jump on a lot of roofs that allow you to never be found. That's all I've got for the moment.

as a fellow infil main i would disagree with that, i almost always use nac cloak on all three factions. its good for both cqc bolting and smg infiltrator. the only time hunter cloaking is better is long range bolting

A tip you missed when sniping is a big one. When sniping right befor you shot hold breath for a second. It helps line up the shot better do not hold for long will make it harder to aim.

I'm currently playing stalker infiltrator. It makes me glad that an experienced player like you struggles just as much to get a hit with a knife. The pin point hitbox in combination with the lag make it seemingly impossible to score hits sometimes. I need to practice positioning because once the enemy gets startled by the first hit or a missed hit, things get really chaotic.

Aiming with the knife is a pain. I usually just blast away at them with my sidearm from close range and use the quick knife attack as a finisher. No need to aim much because it hits everything in front of you.

I actually got to like the TR Stock Sniper during my time trying to Aurax it that...I kind of don't want to change it out. I've found that even though I'm good with the 99SV, I suck with the VA39 Specter...mainly because I'm not used to no bullet drop. Note for newer players on the TR or VS (or an NC deciding to take the Gauss SPR) Your starting snipers shoots MUCH faster than you think. Yeah the recoil is scary, and you can't skullcap instantly, but you can pop off two shots well before they can respond. You need between 2-6 shots, pending what you're hitting: heads, body, heavy with shield, and distance. You can easily get the followups on your target if you fire fast enough, but you definitely you want to keep your exposure low. Aim for neck, head, and you can usually get a headshot with the first or second shot. I tend to aim for the head, and then follow on upper body--and I have hands that make my gameplay look like the cameras in the movie "Cloverfield."

If you're running Carapace on any class and you're bringing a heal utility, it pays to use restoration kits. It takes a little longer but the cloak on infil helps compensate and carapace is able to make full use of the 840 HP a single kit gives you. Thanks for the great video as always!

A consideration is that running vampire should (in theory) keep you at least somewhere around the 500 HP mark even if you're struggling for kills which is where the regular med kit reigns supreme with its speed, but most of the time I run resto kits with carapace simply because the combo gives you the most bang for your buck in the majority of situations.

Stalker cloaking helps when infiltrating player made bases, you can get up close and personal without being fired by those automated turrets until you decloak and plant a bomb in the base. A team of those can demolish a base in a matter of minutes. Another note is that when you're cloaked your shield doesn't recharge until you uncloak so if you're running the stalker and hide but are hit by a stray and don't uncloak it'll stay reduced until you turn it off.

i've already mastered everything with my infil but now i play with my "Metal Gear" loadout which is the one i'm currently having more fun with: you can pull lots of multikills you can actually bully players (specially veterans) you can have lots of meta gameplay doing difficult assassinations inside enemy point holds you can hunt down squad leaders, sunderers, beacons personally i think is the most annoying loadout i use but i guess is not that rare Stalker cloak Gun: Pilot + laser + silencer (can change to crossbow depending on the base) Adrenaline pump/grenade bandolier depending if you attack or defend Lumine Edge AP mines (i prefer more explosives than health) Cortium bomb i usually change grenades depending on the base (EMP to clear out beacons or help to breach, and plasma nades to take advantage of stalkers positioning to get more kills throwing nades from a vantage point) implants: sensor shield is really helpful when you're new with your infil and still can't guess the other player's field of view and how to avoid motion spotters...imho is also a must if you plan to go killing people around with a SMG. Catlike is a must if you're an experienced infil or stalker, you can get rid of sensor shield and use ammo printer i've auraxed every class and i personally think there's no class that can offer you a higher adrenaline rush than your own space ninja xD

Although I do agree that it is definitely better to get in stealthy engagements, I have mastered 1v1s as Infiltrator! What I do is I find a lone soldier, cloak, follow them until they let their guard down in some way, uncloak and knife them, maybe use my sniper for easy headshot kills. I know it's kinda cheap, but as a newer player (around a month and a half) it is really helpful for getting me ahead as a newbie.

A couple of tips When you are moving from cover to cover use your cloak and make shure you are in cover when you decloak foliage can help but it's not cover. Most of the time you need to move from spot to spot after each 1 or 2 shots/kills but make shure you cloak after each kill.

About the stalker cloak shenanigans. Me and one game mate solo capped the b point at I believe "stillwater watch" letting our squad spawn in the base, we then both went onto holding one point each untill we had reinforcements, all in all we were outnumbered about 5-1 and still beat their asses, for a little bit. It was fun while it lasted think I had a 17 kill streak and he had like 30. Vs eventually brought in some maxes and flushed the two of us out. The rest of our team just didn't pull their weight

My favorite build is with my maxed out Catlike, Sensor Shield, and Hunter crossbow with stalker camo. Granted, a lazy build at times but my longest streak was 15 kills and my longest survival time was about 30 minutes. One time I just didn't die the entire field based firefight.

One tip for using a knife build: You can pull out and activate your knife while cloaked, which prevents the swing when you draw it. Useful when you're in a group of allies or don't want the enemy to hear you whip out your stabbing tool.

Tip VI - A guilty guilty pleasure of mine is knifing Maxes to death, I plan to put that in more videos and call it potato peeling. Tip III - I normally say "Come get me bruhhh!" Then my squad picks them off as they run up the hill, or in the building because of my Motion Sensor. For a moment there I thought I was one of the few rare people that used nano-cloak armor because most of my fights I do run out with 17 hp sometimes. Then again I do hard scope like a MW2 Noob. Then I stealth, after killing someone as I run away because back up is coming. If I get shot at while in stealth I just zig zag. If I can't escape in 6-8 seconds, I might just turn around and punch the guy in the face before going down lol. Surprisingly enough people don't expect me to do that giving me the kill sometimes lol.

I'm only half joking when I say I run mines as my primary on Infil. I usually play off peak hours when my outfits and friends are asleep, so running solo into small to mid-size fights is my typical experience. It was slow going until I started finding all the nastiest little corners to place my mines in all the usual buildings - and that's when things got interesting. Infil might get shit for lacking the same upfront firepower as a HA or Engi, but damn if it isn't the most fun.

Imo you forgot the combination Stalker + sidearm. I played that one for a long time. We created a team of those and when working together we were able to create a lot of frustration to the enemy. I mostly played as TR. Great for doing tasks as hacking and taking out mines and such. We were the preparation before the platoon moved in to a new enemyregion. So mainly we were one base ahead of the platoon.

I named my loadout AssassInfiltrator and it consists of, Secondary: NS-45 Pilot Knife: Carver Tool: RDD Ability: Stalker 5 Suit: Adrenaline Pump Grenade: EMP of course Utility: Bouncing Betty Implants: Deep Operative 4 Sweeper HUD 2 Absolute beast to use, a headshot with the Pilot for Mid-range, Carver for Close range, Adrenaline for making the most out of the Cloaking Time or escaping, planting mines in frequent traffic and just basically being the biggest pain in the ass. The one gripe I have with the game is the absolute ignorance that the squad leaders/outfit leaders portray in almost all fights: "Maxes, medics and engineers ONLY! If you don't have a max, go heavy assault." Yes, big, bulky and SLOW. For recon, they have the engineers equip detect bolts on their QCX. We infil mains are laughed at by the community because of the damn QCX's existence. If they could get rid of the detect bolts (or hell, make it infil class-only), we infils would have a place on the battlefield again, especially in squads. I've had many conversations with my outfit members who had made the call that they wanted NO INFILTRATORS for their next push, only to ask someone to go hack a vehicle terminal as soon as we touched the ground.

I have a strong suspicion that currently the Deep Operative implant is bugged in similar way that Survivalist is. The visibility reduction stays after death and even when swapping implants. Recent months I've been seeing some infiltrators that are clearly without the implant but their visibility while standing/moving is almost 100% (only gun has a slight shimmer). That happens on all settings. And obviously some people are abusing it together with queuing cloak when shooting creates a head-shot out of nowhere by an infiltrator that is visible only for a split second. After 8 years I'm able to see infis like they are not cloaked at all yet SOME players seem very different while not having the implant, and that does not matter which cloak they have equipped.

Stalker isn’t just for a bit of fun. I run both anti infantry, anti player base and anti armor stalkers. Not only do you provide Intel but you become a force multiplier for your team. People hate cloakers and will spend time looking for them. That is time not spent killing your team. Armor especially will want to find you. Then they are not shooting your team. Also makes them flee often if they can’t see the threat. They will run off, repair, in which I follow and explosive x bow them more. You are essentially taking an enemy tank out of action. You can also linger behind enemy armor and provide a killing blow for those on fire. Stalker is much more useful than for a laugh.

Unlike the other mines you can't toss a claymore into a crowd for a multi kill as the explosion is directional practically denying tr infils a tactic that the other 2 factions can use easily.

Considering making a NC Stalker character because I was having SO much fun today as a VS Stalker, didn’t have much luck with the VS standard pistol because I’m on console. It feels so strange to be RIGHT THERE in front of an enemy and they don’t see you at all.

I think if you're extreme-long range sniper (~250+m) (that's pretty long I think) instead of ammo belt you could use something like chameleon implant that will allow to recharge cloak much faster or armor so in case you got spotted you will receive less damage and might be able to survive a headshot from less efficient sniper rifle compared to Longshot (NC) and other faction alike variants. You could use also selfish stationary motion spotter that will show less info about your position on radar and give you advantage in case of an ambush from behind from some cheeky light assault or other infiltrator that must be really annoyed of campers and went to hunt you down. Could also take some mines in case of that scenario, so you can 1v1 even a heavy assault. In implant slot instead of assimilate that will give you only a short-term cloak boost (which you mostly won't need because of that more calm playstyle) you could use ammo printer so you won't suffer from need in ammo and respawning and spending time to get back, also you already have chameleon thing so you don't worry about cloak too much as this module reduces time you need to fully charge the energy. And second implant is yours to choose, but I'm taking either spotter implant (forgot the name, but it's the stock one that newbies get when they create a character) which allow me to hold breath longer in case I'm following the target or sweeper hud on confusing maps like hossin with combat on many levels so I can see the distance and can calculate bullet drop and also might see some unexpected mines in the forest.

I main medic and heavy and I tried to get into the infiltrator a bit, so I bought the M77-B. It's not too bad for the price, I fell in love with one-shot kills, but the sniping didn't suit me very well and obviously it's not gonna shine at closer ranges. I tried 30 minute trial of TSAR-42 and oh boy, that gun is the real shit. With other classes I normally kill 1 or 2 players before I die, but with this gun it's rather easy to pick up 6 or more kills. As a sidearm I'm not so sure about the TSAR/commisioner combo, body shot from TSAR and one burst from the repeater is enough to kill somebody and the repeater is quicker to pull out compared to commisioner. I think I will auraxium MSW-R and then I will ditch the heavy for some time to play with the infiltrator and TSAR-42. However I need to learn to use the dart gun more often, sometimes I forgot to fire the darts or place the claymores. Medic is going to stay on the menu, as a new player I still need to keep the certs flowing.

Bolt actions are OK, but honestly I have more trouble dealing with people who have those semi automatic rifles. You can avoid Bolters easily by just not providing them an opportunity to get that ideal shot they need off in the first place. Serpentine well enough and even if they hit you, you can usually get your shields up by the next shot. But being pelted with 10 high damage rounds from range is really difficult to deal with because some of those are gonna hit you out of sheer luck. Honestly i think it probably helps TR and VS that they don't have a default bolt rifle, that way you don't get dozens of bolters sat in a hill making almost no impact on base fights.

Even though I'm definitely a bad player, I can tell that the Stalker cloak users are there to support their team with console hacks made after sneaking for 5 minutes, to protect objectives by literally sitting on top of them and to maintain constant paranoia within the enemy forces by always being somewhere near. The ability to stay cloaked indefinitely lets you hide in plain sight for... 15 minutes, because that's the afk timer, and even more if you slightly move from time to time. In fact, that's how I survived many defeats in vehicle combat. However, your KD rate might suffer from not having a primary weapon, so a Stalker won't take fights with an enemy who is ready for it. Unless they are pinned in a corner and sooner or later will take a bullet to the face. Spotting enemies can be used to bait the enemy into looking for you and give your team those crucial 10 seconds to get onto the point and establish their defences without you immediately endangering yourself.

20:59 I run sensor shield and a suppressor on my NS7 PDW and no matter what the situation is, no matter how much artillery fire is hammering the area, people making call outs, making all kinds of noise, the moment I pop out of cloak and take a guy down, every. single. other. person. on that guys team turns and immediately kills me. It is without fail. I can come from an angle nobody is watching, I can get the last guy in the chain of people running back to the front. No matter what angle I use, how much of a drop I get on people, it is always 1 for 1 no matter how hard I try. Sometimes I'll be watching and waiting for the opportunity to strike, I find it, and the moment the first bullet is fired the guy I shot whips around and 2 taps me before I can get the 4th round out. Is there anything anyone can think of that I can do to improve what I'm doing, maybe some kind of strategy I'm not considering or something?
