Infinite Combos in Smash Bros. Are Kinda Silly...

The ‪@BeefySmashDoods‬ put out a very informative video detailing the history of the dreaded "Infinite Combo" in Smash Bros history. While some may be annoyed at how they've ruined entire characters or games in the past...I think they're just kinda goofy. Here is my reaction to this incredible video and my take as someone who just likes a bit of chaos in Smash Bros.

My favorite "infinite" in smash wash the infinite waluigi glitch with isabel and the assist trophies when ultimate first came out

One of the most notable infinites belongs to Brawl ZSS and Vanilla SSB4 ZSS. Once she stunned the opponent, she was able to footstool the opponent -> neutral B, which would jab lock the opponent. The opponent is forced into a neutral getup everytime, where the down smash is guaranteed, and from there, she was able to loop it infinitely. There was one major problem with the infinite: it only worked on one character in both games. In Brawl, it ONLY worked on ROB. In vanilla SSB4, it ONLY worked on Robin. The reason for this is the same for both characters: footstooling the character while they were stunned basically teleported ZSS to the ground instead of launching her to the air, which allows the followup to neutral B to be possible. The infinite was even easier on Brawl ROB, cause footstooling characters in Brawl guaranteed a forced neutral getup, and ZSS was able to down smash while he was on the ground without the need of a neutral getup. The infinite was fixed on ROB going into SSB4, and the infinite was fixed on Robin on version 1.0.4 of SSB4 (before the Wii U version released).

TlDr: zss has an infinite that worked on 1 character for both brawl and smash 4, but the ssb4 one got patched and no one plays brawl

I think it's ironic how when marss was talking about how If he played Dan in tournaments, and Dan had an infinite. Dan had an infinite that was semi-patched out of sf5 via the developers giving his fireball a new property where it randomly was pink and launched the opponent for a follow-up dp
