You can pull this in standard 22, with lorehold apprentice, rune of sustenance, mask wood nexus, and of course the roper, you will need an instant sorcery to kick it off but it is doable.

You can do it in standard too. Porcuparrot and lifelink. Going to try it when I get home.

So looking at Naya colors most likely. All key pieces require only a single colored mana and have 3 CMC or less. Heliod or Rune of Sustenance are the most reliable ways to give lifelink. It doesn't need to be a mutate deck, only the bird is needed. The rest should be removal or ways to find the combo. Avoid white permanents so you don't turn Heliod on and make him more vulnerable.

But you need something to untap Porcuparrot too. The Roper is untapped when you gain life. Tap Roper to use wand to deal 1 dmg, lifelinke gains life, Roper untaps because you gained life. Repeat ad infinitum.

@@Hydrogen101 the Roper is mutated and you have to give it lifelink. Tap to deal damage, then it automatically untaps. I guess I wasn't clear that you mutate porcuparrot onto the Roper then give it lifelink.

@@harrymillan4664 guess you weren’t clear twice! I was referring to your porcuparrot combo which isn’t the same as the roper-wand-lifelink combo. At least as far as I can see

@@Hydrogen101 No it isn't the same combo. That's what he clarified. But it works the same way. Porcuparrot mutates onto the roper, therefore giving it the ability to deal damage (just like the wand in jeff's version) and by giving the roperparrot lifelink, it can tap and untap infinitely. Same function and standard legal (at least for now).

You should have a shadow spear. It's searchable with fighter class in case you already have the wand.

You can do it in standard but you gotta make the horror a spirit with nexus and then give it tap for damage with the Boros mage craft card
