I made a Butterfree Lapras deck a few days ago and it was alright. Like others have said, boring. Butterfree line is just so good with all the searching for grass Mon. I like it more Exegg+ Erika and Kangas too :)

At some point when I realized you can control your energy type I splashed butterfree greninja in many decks and say them on the bench. Running butterfree in any deck is insane for health. I switch the main pokemon I want to use from active back to bench just to heal it everyturn then switch back in

yo I've been playing a 100% gamble Kangaskhan/Jolteon/Zapdos EX deck that I think you'd like. It's pretty fun and off meta but a complete on-tempo powerhouse when it wants to be (plus it just feels good playing an electric deck that isn't pika or raichu dependent)

My favorite deck is wigglytuff/alakazam. Struggles against pika and starmie, but against the rest its really good and surprisingly consistent 😁 would prefer to use Gengar, but the game did him dirty so far. This one works just better

Been running this for a while. Called it my "Healing Waters" deck. Very strong once setup, but incredibly boring imo. Every game plays the exact same with very little space for strategy.

Vaporeon requires an evolution. Just adds inconsistency, lapras EX is searchable with Pokeball and starts in your hand. Plus it has better stats.

It's kinda why you need to only run Water Energy. Butterfree is supposed to only be a healer for the Lapras duo and to never attack. If anything, you'd use Caterpie to find your Butterfree line but he doesn't need Grass energy, he uses Colorless so you can slap a Water energy on it no problem.

Well they actually do that based on the pokemon in the dex, so since buterfree has wings its fater than metapod who is a lot slower

Not how it works bro. Caterpie doesn't evolve 3 times it evolves twice. Caterpie is considered base stage. As is every Pokemon that evolves into something.
