I gets slightly better if you bring the 5 Mana guy that copies and instantly triggers a deathrattle and also putting Sylvanas in to have a second source of the yoinking Deathrattle seems worth it. Then again i'm a greedy boy and i'd absolutely just swap in the plague deathrattle and Helya because i love annoying all those druids that love emptying their decks out by turn 7.

The combo can actually be reliably split across multiple turns, if facing a scary board, just reska amalgam and death growl, 3 mana put reska in your deck and neutralize a board

you should see my wild deck. devouer of souls is really nutty with amalgam. and eliza. and moarg drill fist. gigling toymaker. bad luck albatross. frostbitten freeboter. and obviously broomstick + corpsicles to make sure devouer dies. and its fun when opponent plays steamcleaner. only for it to fail. it cannot remove the original.(if you give devouer amalgams deathrattle twice it shuffles extra copies)

Combo is really finicky and slow to pull off (costs lots of mana and need to draw 5 combo pieces). Also it doesn't even instantly win as you still lose to OTKs / silences + dirty rat.

You need 9 mana for the combo, and some decks can just burn you over the top or win in fatigue. This strategy is hilarious against board-based decks like Paladin though. They simply can't win.
