In this TouchDesigner tutorial, we're using a Cache TOP inside a feedback loop to repeat motion and movement infinitely. In this video I show 3 different main examples.

If one doesn’t have a depth camera or RTX, background removal on fixed camera can also easily achieved by getting out of frame, take a snapshot using cache TOP, then use difference between cached and live output.

The black always get funky though. @Stephane any tips for lighting to help with that?

@@Visualsss always hard to discern 0 black level if it’s 0 on background and foreground indeed. Ai, luma key, chroma key all sttuggle with that. Maybe push camera gain for capture and lower gain after bg/fg composition. Noise may become another issue where you need to tweak even more, but still, manageable. This is just a quick trick for very specific and very static background use cases. Definitely not a good all around reliable keying method.

@@StephaneGervaisMusic Hey Stephane, I'm just learning td and come from audio, I had the same idea using feedback to just (from audio theory) phase the picture out.. theoreticly it should just leave me in the picture but I get this weird masking going on.. any advice? Thanks

Danke für deine tollen tutorials.als blutiger beginner frage ich mich ob es möglich ist eine noise Animation so als Movie zu exportieren, dass wenn man das Movie im loop abspielt es wie endlos erscheint. Also z.b. 600 frames z.b. eins deiner ersten Tutorial s mit noise so hinkriegen, dass das ausgespielte mov-file endlos scheint. Wäre das möglich?

you need to insert "keyboard" right on button Pulse. Hope it helps)

Many Thanks for your tutorials. Using the Build 2022.31030 on a M1 Mac, I don't get the point to trigger the feedback from the keyboard. Tried to investigate this but nothing seems to restart the feedback loop.

Hi Bileam, this tutorial is great as always, but I have issue with cache top. After I added the keyboardIn in cache (pulse: chop reference) it stops the effect everytime I press 1. Moreover, when I connect noise>edge>null to the feedback, no lines appear. I have the commercial version, 099, 2022.26590, win10. I'm trying to figure out what the problem is following your tutorial step by step but I think it's a bug.
