Found an interesting interaction, if you got 2 celestials with the celestial protection, and got spectral kitty with Yuen, you can finish the bounties faster by constantly increasing their attacks and forcing them to attack plus use their abilities.

Thank you for doing these. I have completely quit HS but was pretty much only playing Mercs before I stopped (f2p is nearly impossible and NOT enjoyable in HS any longer). This gets me a nice fix so I'm not tempted to fire it back up.

F2p is completely possible in Battlegrounds, Mercenaries and Arena. That’s 3 gamemodes that are 100% f2p.

Your maximum level is the your highest clear from previous week + 40 levels.

I'm worried about how long some of these battles will go on as you climb to higher levels. Does the game still disconnect if a fight takes longer than 30 minutes?

Reporting again with the results of my lv 197 fire comp. Got a full completion in 13 turns this time. I did throw my first run because i was watching OG's balance changes review while doing it but the second run went pretty well.

Amazing, 13 turns is a great result! Could you please share what fire comp are you using? Also, how much renown does it take to upgrade the comp to level 197?

Got a 248 fire comp, but I'm slowly shifting my renown to another build. Fire just has too many weaknesses. Highly doubt it'll be strong at 300+ level runs. Got a 200 celestial team and 60,000 renown left to play around. Unfortunately, not many people can make high-level guides on the best comps bcz of how restrictive renown makes experimenting.

@@TH-bl5wl All useful abilities and treasures lv 25, rest at lv 15. Standard equipements. Comp is CHADgar Geddon Rag ChiJi Cookie Medivh (the health buffs from the bench are essential for getting past the first fight then all you need is 1 fire treasure and you're set)

Bwonsamdi, Balinda and Geddon made the first fight quite easy :) Could even kill them off in the end to maximize the probability for celestial protection. And Bwon is best not even leveled anything.

@@evgeny7689 Use the Irrefusable Deal (Arena Contender Equip), where he takes no damage and bounces the board back to hand. Frost Elemental's freeze will carry on the next turn, and you'll summon a new one with Balinda as battlecry. Thus you can potentially freeze all enemies. After third bounce the deal will have 1turn CD.

@@evgeny7689 exactly as @ASPhylactery said; just need to survive the first round pretty much. The adds tend to die to Geddon (at least mine at lvl 23 on the extra combo damage) about the same turn as you cant use bounce back with Bwon any more. Then just let Y'Sharj kill off Balinda/Geddon/Bwon and get the celestials on board (I use Nizau/Chi/Xuen), shield up and kill him.

Dear @OldGuardian, After the immense changes in Mercenaries, I think there is another topic you might eventually cover: PvP. I know that you don't play PvP and talk about it for a long time. In an older video you said the reason: maxed and un-maxed Mercenaries are very different in power level and usability, and you won't be able to give useful advice and strategy for all kind of players, who may have mostly maxed or un-maxed Mercenaries. However, with the recent stop of adding new Mercs, this situation changed drastically. So far a player was forced to max all mercenaries to compete, because the addition of new Mercs could change the meta any time - but now the meta will freeze forever, much like constructed Classic. Players should be successful in PvP by maxing only a handful of their Mercs (I would say no more than about 3 full comps, ~20 Mercs out of more than a hundred, some of them even may be useful in Boss Rushes) - especially when they have reliable advice on which ones they should max. It is also worth mentioning that because of the lack of players, you can frequently run into computer opponents - this probably wouldn't change even if all Mercenaries-players started to play PvP too. I hypothesize that all these things will make PvP more or less some special kind of PvE, much more like a puzzle than a duel. What is more, the daily and monthly rewards (big chunk of coins and even free packs) might make PvP, at least if you aim for lower ranks, an effective source of coins, and thus, renown for Boss Rushes.

In the update announcement they said they would sometimes do bug fixes and balance changes when necessary. It's not completely abandoned and frozen like Classic.

20 Turns with level 134 comp. Get the treasure: Can't touch this from Nemsy!!! 20K spended on Renown. And upgrade Cho with Patience for sure. Make sure not to attack to early with the Boggy's. @@andreashobby Tnx, Level 20 should do it (myself up to 30 stats are +55/+110) and the treasure patience is as much sufficient. But get the abbility up first
