I think one really good part of this playstyle that people are really over looking is that for all the time that youre in shadow travel you can also contest or cap point. Ive played with this talent alot and the real value comes from being able to stay on point instead of your tank when they're low or somewhere else. For the 5 seconds that you're immortal you can spend about 3-4 seconds on point being a nuisance for the enemy team because they cant do anything about you and for the last second you quickly retreat to some spot and repeat the process over and over again the whole match basically being an untouchable tank. From alot of the matches that ive played with this talent its easy to get 250 -300 objective point time which is sometimes even more than what my tank had. The only downside is that yes it does make you a bit more vulnerable because you're staying on point and the 1 second of downtime can sometimes get you killed if the enemy team targets you or you dont have anyone to proc your CD reduction on but that doesnt happen alot and ive pushed many payloads and held point for long amounts of time while letting my tank cover and heal up or letting them do more damage and go after the enemy flanks

Does it allow you to cap point while you're ethereal? If so, they should get rid of that like how they disabled luna from capping the point otherwise it'll be too annoying

Its natural lol, I got hella heated from a match just now because of Seris alone. She is now unnecessarily difficult to kill now for no reason tbh. Even though I know absolutely nothing about Seris, she seemed good enough before this update.

@@vinn283 i had to time and use my Zhin Ults on Seris alone because she kept going invisible healing the enemy tanks. Luckily, I haven't come across a lot of Seris picks who know this tech but when you find one it SUCKKKSSS

Maybe this playstyle could have some use as a flank pocket. It would let you position in ways that would otherwise be insane and as long as your flank stays up, you will be able to stay in shadow travel

I think the idea would be to go into shadow travel, heal twice in it WHILE going behind an enemy, reappear and shoot and stun an enemy and then go back into shadow travel.

on this point you need to remember not every one have a good internet conection, so this new talent its preaty nice to be honest, if you dont have a good pin, then this talent its great, you can still helping youre team mates, and survive, thats way its realy usefull, the thing here is you are a damage player, that the type of roll you fit in, so... thats way its better for you to make damage, not every one like to be top killer on theyre team, most of the time a good match is rule by a good support/healer, and that is a fact! may be youre damage mate its not in hes best on that moment, then whit that bit more heals can change a lot of things. i could see the shadow travel speed build being good for a seris, and flank duo, that way seris can keep up with their flank they are pocketing, and stun enemies when needed

Chronos is still a very viable item to buy if you play soul collector and don't healbot only.

Basically Agony is the only talent that train you to play supports correctly because you have to actually fight to get the healing bonus. You have to balance using literally all of your abilities. Soul collector trains you to only be in it for yourself and moral reach train you to only be a heal bot. I like the idea of the change but hate how it was put in without taking the cards into account.

On the contrary to "the general Seris main", I always get Chronos. Saying the ~0.5s of difference is negligible changes is questionable at best. It is like a damba/ ying rmb. Sure the cd is low enough to cast frequently, but the slight decrease in cd is all that counts in saving a teammate or staring at them while they die. Besides, both rend Soul and Shadow Travel uptime is better with Chronos. Also another hot take is that the talent is more problemabic to Seris than ppl think it could benefit. The main thing with Shadow Travel is that you are lock out of other actions in exchange for I-frame with invis, especially dps. My rationale on playing Seris is that the more healing you are doing with Seris the less value you are putting out. The time you spent on healbotting teammates means you are not doing damage for pressure or applying stacks for a timed stun. The new talent further excourages a passive healbot playstyle that you are spending more time locked out of actions outside healing, which is worse for Seris since she gains more value and ult charge with stuns and dmg. Furthermore, with the new talent encouraging you to get DW, FTB and Veil means you have no room for the most important card for Seris which is Umbral Gait. Like 15:48 you could have a chance of getting out of the push if you have just one stack of Soul Orb. Because you dont have UG for escape and repositioning, you cant really be more aggressive than you can get away with. So yeah now Seris can stall point longer and be even worse healbot than she already is

I actually have a similar build to this yesterday. the healing is great and i died like maybe 2 times throughtout the match, but my team couldn't kill anything because they all picked blaster on frog isle lol so the enemy team just out poke them and they couldn't do anything to them.

Personally I don't see the point of this talent. If you played seris good before, you should never really die. All your doing with this talent is healing, if I wanted a heal bot I would've played Io, Ying, or Lilith.

I agree, but I have a problem with this seris change. See dev now made seris ez target to kill because all enemy team got to do is see where seris healing trail is to search for instead of buy illuminate. I can't escape enemies now wish dev would add more of her shetty cards "veil" , " nether siphon" , "essence rip" as a passive to her base kit (BTW those card been like that 🎉since ob days felt like lazy ideas for her kit to me. I still remember when "fade to black" was channeling when seris was single target healer; smh 🤦 the card never went up a tier always at 1 (0.8s) to reduce cd for shadow travel and with chance to add more movement speed to that ability😮 (to escape and heal at enemie's side of the map while tank caps😅 😆 it was funny build) now with this talent I can't escape bcuz all point are on cd for shadow travel cards b4 update I had NP escaping more points for other cards.

For seris to be usable in high elo they just have to do one thing, reduce the stacks of the stun to 2 and in soulcollector to 3 or remain at 4

Really? It reads as incredibly strong to me. Perhaps not universally, as it does seem to be highly dependent on both loadout and player skill, but I could see a player who develops their skills with this talent becoming near impossible to kill while providing their team with risk-free healing. I suppose time will tell how it goes

If you are close enough to your restore soul target, you heal yourself as well. Since you can use it during shadow travel now, that card has dropped in value.

I did some play testing, so I'm not sure how it would translate in the chaos of real gameplay, but from what I've tested if you use the max uptime build, not even flanks like talus (on controller) or koga can kill her in the narrow time window. At least not solo.
