The black background transition with him standing in one place really looks cool plus the soft light only hitting him looks likes something you guys definitely like using and it was also done indoors too.

A little note! When you anímate a mask, you want to make the biggest steps you can first (for example: the first point at the beggining and THE LAST at the end of the clip, then you adjust the middle point of the clip and then the cuarter) this way you'll end up with much less key points. Much faster to do and to fix if something went wrong. I Hope it made sense!

Explain bit more
@fidelecheverria6772
@fidelecheverria6772 5 жыл бұрын
@@MeAndMyOpinions_OverYours shure! Imagine we have one second of transition that we want to mask out. What I mean is that instead of going every few frames adjusting the animation of the mask, we alwais want to make the first frame first, Then the 24th frame. Now we see how it goes and we correct (if needed) at 12th frame. if more correction is needed we go to the 6th frame and then to the 18th and so on. This way we will make the minimum animation points needed and most of times it's enought with less tha we think. And in case that we need to change animation in after (for example) because we decide to include that branch of the tree in the mask the mask or we want to move all of it to the right), it becomes doable instead of a nightmare. Hehe. Hope I I explained propperly, and excuse my English.

Jordy wasn't actually there. He was key'd in. He filmed himself with the Red camera, hiding it from Yannick and Lorenzo. (It also doesn't help that Jordy wants to throw the camera while yelling, "YANNICK CATCH!!!")

This was a really good one! I liked how you guys mixed in different techniques and ideas, as well as showing simple and more advanced techniques together. I have been seeing more channels that used to show simple/amateur/on the cheap techniques suddenly go "hey, you know that really cool effect? we're gonna show you how to do it! but oh you need several hundred/thousand dollars!". Here, this felt like show you the cool technique, here's the thought behind it, here's how to make it better with better equipment, and so on. Gives a much more usable and flexible feeling and not left out in being able to do a really cool scene/effect. Thank you guys! Also, I'm really liking having both Jordy and Yannick do these videos --- Wouldn't mind seeing Lorenzo more too get his chance to describe these tutorials! Great work guys!

Jordy! Yannick! Do you guys also find masking in Premiere to be bafflingly poorly designed and often doing things you don't want it to do, such as extending bezier handles to form a weird curve when you're trying to pull a single point? At times, I've had to resort to selecting a single point and then using the arrow key to nudge.

But how did they make the actors in the A$AP vid stay so still? I know you said they just stay still but that does not look like the case. The people in the music vid look like they are actually static in their movements, there are no visual signs of them breathing or doing any bare minimum bodily movements. How did the music video pull that off though? Thats what I was hoping to learn from this video.
