Infinitely replicating sponge VS Infinitely spreading water

What happens if the infinitely replicating sponge meets the infinitely spreading water? I tested out 3 other infinitely spreading elements also, and those are lava, sculk, and fire.

When I saw the structures that the sculk formed under water my immediate thought was a sculk reef as a new biome.

The problem with the water/lava is that if even just one block escapes, it will also grow infinitely

This endlessly spreading of blocks (like sponge) could be a cool idea for a new challenging mod, where you have to survive in a world with said spreading block by making sure your base and working area are completely closed off to it. Would be fun. :)

Just so you guys know this isn't a mod, Element X just edited Minecraft's code. However, he is not the first person to do this, as Pheonix SC appears to have "invented" infinitely spreading water back in 2018.

I feel like the big issue with the skulk especially is just how quickly the water multiplies. If a single block gets by, it's already over.
