She trained for months for this and almost gave up severally times because of the pain. You should watch her "Hair hanging vlog" video.

Lindsay Stirling is Amazing!! She was a contestant on America’s got talent (I think it was that) & the judges told her (not exact words) that she wouldn’t be able dance & play & that she’d never ‘fly’. This whole performance was done literally hanging by her hair. She has totally proved them wrong over & over!!! An oldie but great one is Roundtable rivals with a steampunk theme. Also master of tides. You really should check out more

Yep. Those SUCKERS told her she'd never get anywhere, hat dancing and playing the violin was "basic". Let's see "basic" now! Because to dance and play the violin the way se does, is truly amazing and NOT easy. Especially the moves she makes. Seriously impossible positions to be able to hold, let alone play the violin and she does. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her. I LAUGHED when they had her back on and had to EAT THEIR WORDS, IN PUBLIC. It Was BEAUTIFUL.

This is actually the orchestral version of Crystallize. Her original version (the video that brought her KZbin fame) was more dubstep. Both are great. She is amazing live. She dances around on stage in concert too. High energy show. A lot of fun.

The most graceful performance. Lindsay done a vlog to show her learning how to hang by her hair. Well worth a look as shows just how difficult and painful that is.

Lindsey did this performance for her online Christmas concert that she streamed. She is a very talented artist who puts on spectacular live concerts. She composes her original music, creates the set designs, and directs or co-directs her music videos and concerts. She's known for dancing while playing and she's only gotten better since she placed second on Dancing With The Stars in 2018. Lindsey Stirling has done covers and original gaming music and has collaborated on songs with artists like Evanescence's Amy Lee "Hi-Lo", Lzzy Hale of Halestorm on Lindsey's song "Shatter Me", The Tenors "Who Wants To Live Forever" cover, and Escape of Fates "Invincible" just to name a few.

Lee, here is the most talented young modern violinist in the world today. With more than 5.19M click happy subscribers, this is Karolina Protsenko. She is a Ukrainian emigrant to the US who started as a busker on the sidewalks of LA when she was 8 years old. She went on to be a featured performer at the Santa Monica Pier and the rest is history. I have included a link to "Drivers License" because it is a big favorite today and this is a studio version done outside. I have also included a link to a busker version of "Faded" she did when she was 8 or 9 years old. Now 12, she is also a dancer/choreographer and learning to sing professionally. Take a listen and if you like what you hear, there are many more songs to chose from. Each one better than the last. "Drivers License".

I don't think she's playing live because there are moments of her going in slow motion.

I had a similar reaction for a different reason, physics. She has gravitational forces working on her along with other forces such as centrifugal (not actually a force) and centripetal (particularly in the fast spinning segment). Couple that with the remembering and playing all the notes perfectly along with remembering and executing all the choreography and it seemed impossible for anyone to do this. But, she has gone on to include in her shows, using a intricate harness so I no longer think it's impossible just it's Lindsey, the otherworldly being who fortunately made her appearance during our lifetime. As to the slow-mo, I think she played it live and then it was tweaked during post production to make it prettier. Even if she just held onto an MP3 player and not dropped it while hanging from her hair while doing those moves, it would have been the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
