For any current 35 owners don’t attempt to do a radiator flush or any hose replacement if you don’t have a coolant system refill kit , chances are you can bleed it by the bleeder valve but will take you all day if not 2 , but at the end of the day there will always be air in the system if not vacuumed out

Great video and much respect my man. Just a note- a radiator fitted funnel makes the bleeding process much quicker... I've done it multiple times on my G: the air will rise out of the funnel as you rev the motor and you can crack the bleeder valve intermittently to help

Hey man this was a very awesome video my car was overheating suddenly so I decided to replace the thermostat and it was still over heating then I replaced the radiator and still over heating then I followed your instructions and the overheating went away. I believe either the thermostat or the radiator was bad but I guess I didn’t bleed it properly right after I replaced both of the parts but anyways my car has a new thermostat and new radiator now after 100k miles which is good cause they will go bad eventually but if it wasn’t cause of your video I would have probably replace the water pump or something else so thank you very much.

@@augustarellano197 My overheat issue was due to radiator fan. If you can't feel it moving air when your looking down at the fan it is likely the cause. I was getting good readouts on my thermostat so quickly rules that out. Radiator fan is pretty common cause of overheating behind thermostat.

After I did my swap I had such an issue bleeding my coolant system the air would not come out till I had this brilliant idea. I took one of those hand pumps put the hose on the overflow tube come out with the other hose in the gallon of antifreeze and kept pumping and pumping till I knew for sure no air was coming out the bleeder valve. I kept getting air to the point it blew apart my bleeder valve. They break easy. If you need a bleeder valve you can use a piece that comes in the Preston coolant flush kit at Walmart works mint

Its a pain checking the bleed valve over and over, I do mine with a "no spill" funnel from the front radiator cap to bypass this problem. It mitigates having to constantly open and check the bleed valve. No air in the line either because the consistent fluid kept it tye funnel is gravity feed from the highest point on the engine. Just a future tip. My water pump is still clean never changed it

How long have you been running the premix Prestone 50/50? I've read mixed reviews for the VQ on if you should stick with OE nissan blue/green coolant or not.

Rex Erection been recorded that people don’t have problems with GREEN, quality coolants. oem if you want to be extra safe, but if you don’t cheap out too hard and know what you’re doing you should be fine

Did you only add the first gallon? If so after the car cools down you should be able to add the other gallon then do the start up, plus rev to 3k, bleed procedure and then you should be good bro

@@vgyvgoiy ..No rattling noises. Mine is from TBW which stands for toll booth willey. It is powdercoated black and is aluminum. Jon in Vegas had these shields first before z1. If you are old enough, you will know toll booth willey is from an old Adam Sandler skit which is hilarious. That was Jon's name on the fourms before he started his business and he kept his screen name for the business.

Question...so my friend and I replaced the radiator and fluids and bleed it. I don’t remember if we went to the bleeder valve. Well...is it normal to have the radiator fluid reservoir tank filled PAST Max capacity? The thing is...I never filled it past Max ever. Thanks

So basically after you repeated the process, you know your done when there is fluid in the radiator cap and in the bleeder once the car has cooled down ???
@MotordyneG35
@MotordyneG35 5 жыл бұрын
Yes. The only way to get fluid to come out of the bleeder valve is by pouring fluid into the radiator. If the bleeder valve is full, it would be impossible for the radiator to also not be full.

Hey, I have a 2004 G35 and the heat does not kick on. I noticed that as I'm driving the engine cold/hot indicator goes from normal to hot then backs down then goes back up again. The coolant level when engine is cold looks normal. Does this sound like the same issue as this video or could it be the thermostat?
