I did this job this weekend and wanted to add a tip to anyone else....freeze the big bushing overnight...makes it SOOOO much easier to I stall. The freezing shrinks the poly bushings just slightly but makes a HUGE difference. I spent 2 hours trying to hammer them in...got 80% in...couldn't get last 20%...so I pulled it froze overnight and next day I could push in 50% by hand and very easy hammering the rest.
@mohamedhosini21032 жыл бұрын
But how could you freeze it up while it’s in there?!

Thanks for the very clear explanation as to what's involved in this. I have a 370Z that has the diff bushing with a small tear in the rubber. I haven't noticed any differences in the sound or feel but I know I will have to change it soon. I'm going to go with Z1's complete set of diff bushings, as I like their products. This video makes me feel much better in knowing what needs to be done.

Just a quick tip follow the instructions from whiteline if using them on g35. Car was vibrating very bad by putting the thicker bushing on the top, after re installing the thinner bushing on top of the dif now the car runs very nice

Mannnn you make hammering out the bushings with that 36 so easy. I'm over here on day #2 trying to beat these things out
@sammcrown2 жыл бұрын
Haha. They should come out fairly easy as long as you are using a heavy hammer. Otherwise it will be much harder. Good luck!

I'll be doing this next weekend on a sedan. I'm real jealous of how much room you have at the rear of the bushing. I'm hoping the z1 removal tool will make this job not so bad.

Hey, thanks for the video. Did you notice any difference in the cars handling w/the new bushings? How about noise? Does the rear diff make any noise with the new bushings? I want to make sure i get the right replacement bushings for my 350z.

How do you get the diff out with the driveshaft in the way? Do you have to like push back on the diff and tilt the front of it down at the same time?
@sammcrown4 жыл бұрын
Terry1212 basically I had to push the front slightly forward then down to get the rear bolt out of the hole that holds the rear of the diff in place. I did this all on the jack as I was doing it myself.

What size clamps did you use ?
@sammcrown Жыл бұрын
I’d have to measure or take a pic but I’d say the c clamp measures 10 inches in length by 5 or 6 inches. Big enough to get around the front and back of the sun frame to push the bushing into the sun frame sleeve. I bought it at Harbor Freight.

Just checked. I used a 6” c clamp.
