Remove the headlamp housing. it requires removal of the front bumper cover.

Thank you! For the bulbs only, you can access them by raising the front, then removing the fender liner in the wheel well.

Should mention that bulb/ballast can be replaced without removing the bumper cover/headlight. :)

Bulb, for sure. Ballast, I haven't attempted. Can you remove the ballast with the headlight still mounted, on both sides?

@@EdBwoy Yes. you pull the wheel, and there is a plate in the fender Remove that, and you access to the rear of the headlights. You can replace bulb and ballast from there. Swap them around to test, etc.

@@jarnee1 I can see the LED swap being relatively simple. The HID units have different wiring to address the ballast/igniter, if memory serves me right.

My left headlight went out, changed the bulb but still doesn’t work. I’m guessing there’s a problem with the ballast but I had the same side changed 5 years ago. I did replace a faulty alternator 3 years ago so maybe that caused the ballast to fail prematurely? Going to try to change the ballast today just didn’t expect it to be such a pain by having to take off the bumper and headlight

If my car came with halogen can I buy HID assembly to swap for better lightening or will it not work as there won’t be enough plugs?

There is a little bit water leaking happen on my headlight. Rains are fine, but there will be some, not a lot, water drops inside after washing. I want to know is it possible that some caps of the light are loosen? If there are, can you please tell me where the caps are? I don't think re-glue the lampshade can be done myself, that job need some pro equipment.

No, usually people reach those through the wheel well/fender liner...depending on which bulb of course!

Depends on what the problem is, but I would lean towards replacement. You can get a lot of ideas from the G35 and 350z groups, because of the shared engines.

Bro this is a lot. Can i remove the lowbeam without doing all that? I can access my lowbeam from the fender liner area but im not able to remove it. I turned it counterclockwize but the turn is not enough to remove it

Yes, you should be able to remove the headlamp through the fender liner.

It's an impact wrench. Not the most powerful tool out there (being electric), but it fits in tight spaces well
