@Jules I own a 2015 Infiniti Q50 premium and tbh it is “outdated” in the luxury market for 2022 standards but for 2014-2016 it was pretty much competing head on with the luxury compact market. I believe people like me buy the Q50 because it’s as fast as the 370z but more luxurious and ergonomic then the 370z.

Lol they aren’t slow for what it is. Ppl are funny. There’s only a handful of n/a v6 sedans making this power lol. I have a 15’ awd 3.7 limited. I came from an aprox 400 hp taurus and before that an aprox 500 hp bmw 335i. For me it’s all about the driving experience in these Q’s I had an 08 g35x and an 09 g37s x and i don’t appreciate the driving style in the Q as much mine gets great fuel mileage on the highway. the handling and feeling of it accelerating past 100 is really really nice. I just took mine from missouri to florida than to dallas and back home and it would put me in the seat taking off past 100 and handled the back roads like they weren’t sh**. Had an impala try and race me the other day and cruised up to 130 with it than downshifted and hit 145 and he backed off for awhile 😂 than beat a ford raptor than a manual 370z to 80 than a mercedes suv that wasn’ttt slowww. it’ll hop like a deer off the line in that 60 foot range for a N/a 3.7L I love it, needed something more luxurious and quick and reliable for a good price and I can’t find anything else that suits me better. towing capacity is pretty dam good.

That transmission sounds like it’s gonna fall out any minute. Typical Jatco transmission though, so no surprise there. That was a nice pull though, too bad the transmissions are the weak point because those engines are beasts.

@@TheJoker-qn6vw No, that's just Nissan's CVTs that have issues. People just like to talk out of their asses. The issues come when you start going for performance, the transmissions do not like dealing with more than 400 or so horsepower.

No notorious problems at all with the Jatco 5 and 7 speeds. The 5AT on my G35 is still going strong and the newest 7AT for the Q50 with the VR30 engine are solid and can handle a lot of torque. They may not be ZF transmissions but are still adequate.

It is the torque that kills the transmissions but you right about that number, once you hitting more than 400 torque on the VQ, it will eventually break so that’s why people upgrade to the VR30 trans . VQs can take up to 600-650hp stock before you can think about upgrading the internals.

Definitely not changed. The q50 7at has longer gearing than the g37 7at. He should've been in 2nd during this run so it seemed longer but the g37 shifts at 50mph from 2md to 3rd while I belive the q50 shifts from 2nd to 3rd at 60mph.

What mods I have a 2003 with fbo practically I know you were just logging and not racing as fast as possible to 140 but it seems like my car takes off quite a bit faster from the start and even noticed that my car seems to pull stronger than when your getting to your peak rpms I feel like my old Infiniti would beat this not shaming you just curious why it doesn't seem to pull hard I can understand if it's mostly stock just curious what mods you have done 👍🏻 cool video though
