Recently purchased a 2015 Q50S V6h and have to say it's an absolute blast to drive! Previously owned a 2015 Mercedes E Class 350 v6d estate/wagon and it's way better in nigh on every department... Easily as well built, same amount of kit, minus electric boot/trunk lift and driver/front passenger headrest adjustment, neither a deal breaker... But on the plus side it's got the adaptive/intelligent front headlights which the Mercedes didn't have, so win win. Economy is on a par, if not better,even though it's a petrol/gas motor... Obviously performance is way superior and easily on par with an E43, C43 AMG, BMW 340/440, Audi S4 etc. Handling is right on the money even on the run flats, which I'll swap out for some Michelin Cup tyres come spring time... They should really up the ante in the handling stakes and be quieter than the run flats. Not forgetting the glorious sound it gives out when pressing the go pedal to the floor 😁

I just got a 15 Q70L which is the Q50’s bigger somewhat more refined brother. Although a different fleet some of the technology and design ques are fairly common to both platforms. I agree with trying to find a good well maintained 3.7 NON turbo V6. I am not saying the 3.0TT is bad just kind of new to get fairly long term reliability data. For better or worse keeping the 7A standard and consistent across pretty much the entire Infiniti line means that for the most part it works great and didn’t try to get too crazy with something entirely new and risk problems. The Q50 is fairly common and you should be able to find a decently equipped and well maintained but you may have to look a bit and possibly expand your search criteria. The Q70L I got believe it or not I wasn’t specifically looking for the Long wheelbase model or AWD but call it a happy accident/bonus.

I had a 2014 3.7 Q50 from 2017-2018. Bought it with 1 year warranty remaining. Of course the whole year under warranty, it drove good. 4 days after my warranty expired, some stoned kid rear-ended me and split the rear bumper. No biggie, I thought.. I settled with my insurance company and they gave me 1k to fix the bumper. Perfect as I have a body shop who charged me $600.00.. The only problem was the hard bump caused an electrical key/lock control issue with the shifter/parking knob. Infinity service couldn't find or fix the problem after many tries. I was forced to go to a specialist in electrical issues. Cost me $900.00 to find & fix this issue!! (Re-align shifter cable) I had the same thing happen to my earlier car 2010 Acura TSX V6. and guess what.. NO Electrical/Mechanical issues after a rear fender bender.. Just fixed the bumper!! I can't stand cars that can't take a hard punch and not work perfectly after, other than the body damage! I sold this car when fixed then went back to a 2013 Acura TL SHawd.. It has never broken down on me once! SHawd is a far superior drive system to Infinity's. My 2013 TL handles much better than this Q50! My Thoughts of the 2014 Q50 - Infotainment sucked!! Too slow & Buggy! - Steering sucked!.. the car followed every crease in the road and I had to make steering corrections every second.. (Hate That!) Gas Guzzler!! much too thirsty! The Bose stereo didn't even sound that great!.. Very disappointed with many facets of this car! Would never touch Infinity again!

Wow that bad, I'm not entirely surprised though, I was considering the Q50 2014-2015 as well because i like the 3.7 but it has that stupid electric steering, horrible dual touchscreens. I just bought an older 07 G35x sedan, drives incredible over 200kms, steering feel is incredible. I'm old school so I love hydraulic steering. The Bose in this car was incredible guy got it with every option if it even has radar guide cruise control and adaptive headlights and it's 07!! haha but regardless I wanted something newer but this is the best bang for your buck cheap daily with decent luxury. I like buttons not everything to be touchscreen. This old G35x came with a bose bluetooth adapter so music is a breeze and i'm shocked at how good the stereo is, no distortion over all these years. Sometimes newer isn't better. I plan on getting a summer car but we'll see what happens. I like those TLs i never knew the SHawd was that good, i'll check it out, maybe for a daily in the future if i get rid of this G sedan. If you ever wanna go back to infinity give the 07-13 35/37 sedans a try, bulletproof reliability if you can find a clean one, or an owner who did maintenance on it. Thanks Dante, I've loved driving in the snow since my dad taught me e-brake skids in his 92 Civic, back in the day. Since then, I've always loved sharing our winetry scenery and driving conditions with viewers and readers. I really enjoy driving on snow and ice, and sharing that experience when I can. Cheers Justin

100000 you can push upto 120 but i prefer 100000 i usually keep cars for 3 years before passing them on, except for my 2008 s4 which has now 180000 miles and have had it for 6 years and no problems but the age is starting to catch up with it

I bought a used 2015 Q50 premium edition back in 2019 with 12k miles for $24k. One of the best decisions I've made in a long time. 😆 love the car! 💯👍

@@harorider96 I ended up grabbing a 2015 Q50 @ 49K miles. My loan is 21(I don’t have the best credit)..I love it but it’s def a gas guzzler. I’m planning to get it refinanced for cheaper payment

It’s good bang for your buck. However let’s not forget . Infiniti’s are built for people who really wanted a BMW and couldn’t afford it .

My Q50 was a reliability nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend it. So many issues and was nowhere as fun to drive.

i have a 14. Bought new. Have literally not had a single problem. Brakes, tires, and basic maintenance. The "reliability" issues were the slow infotainment loading and an occasional bug. Mine has 100k miles. Not a rattle on the damn thing . I keep thinking about getting rid of it but I am like..hell..the engine is rock solid and it runs like a dream. Paid for. I think I will just hang on to it.

Out of date I rather have something else I know cause I own this car. Under the hood kicks but the inside is out of date. Car is all looks on the outside but once you own one you’d wish you never got the loan. It has power but for the base price I rather have a used m4 or 5 series. This is more of a sports sedan than a luxury car. There is no balance at all. Better off having a g37 to be honest. Nissan/Infiniti never think about the little things that make luxury car a luxury car. A 2007 Beamer or Benz shit on the features of a q50/q60. I’m not a hater cause I do think that the twin turbo kicks but yeah this car is kinda of a crap box.

I agree too. My parents got the 2014 model when it first made it to dealerships and it had not changed at all to this date. It does drive very well and fast which that’s why I love about it but they can do better. I’m not sure is true but supposedly the redesigned Q50 is going to look similar to the CLS class.
@ryanluna91524 жыл бұрын
ihateallofu Lol I hope they do a redesign cause they really need an update on the whole nav/ dual screen. My chick has a Ford Fusion thats older and it has more features than the q50. Youre just paying for speed some what but it’s not even that fast. They barely updated to apple car play with out giving us the ability to self update, sucks. It’s cool but like I said, better off buying a g37, drop apple CarPlay and update the grille. Feel bad for the ppl like us that bought this dumbass car.

@@fivefivesix-sevensixtwo4114 q50 is really bang for your buck I got mine used for 23k with low miles. But it’s out of date. Fast but out of date, Lexus IS the same shit and tbh a Lexus GS don’t punch like the q50 at all your buying a gs for the body and inside. Gs infotainment is out of date. The 2020 Acura is fucking nice but idk if I would buy that car personally so I have no say on that. My neighbor owns one it’s nice and super updated but I rather have a used 540i best bang for your buck as long as you have a little more money to splurge for a payment and stay with in warranty for a good minute. Everyone I know that owns a q50 will tell you the same thing. If you were to buy a q50 I would update the screen from the factory to sn after market stretched Tesla screen they also make it for the g35 and g37 so you can go any route. G37 coupe would honestly be cooler in my eyes. Or m45 sedan shit bro those Infiniti’s are way classier than a q50
